I'd love to have a breast lift and a tummy tuck. Maybe one day.

I have been kicking around the idea for a while now.... I am thinking about an eye lift, and a neck lift... and some sandblasting of the wrinkles

The girls could use a lift and some filler, but I dont think I would go that far, DH likes them for who they are, and padded bras help fill out my shirts... LOL

The one thing that is stopping me is... I picture DH telling the girls I died on the table... sick I know... but I dont want their mommy to die while getting cosmetic surgury.

There are definitely things about myself that I don't like, but I would never get any kind of surgery. I dont' really want any part of me to be fake, and I really wouldn't want to spend all that money on it.

I don't see anything wrong with other people getting surgery though. I know how everyone can feel self conscious about themselves sometimes. So if anyone gets surgery done on anything, I feel it's their choice, and they shouldn't be criticized for it.

Oh ya! Once mother nature has her way with me, I'm taking matters into my own hands and putting things back where they belong!!!

It does happen.

It is what is keeping me from proceeding with reconstructive surgery. Anesthesia frightens me to no end. Surgery that is required to save your life is one thing.

But, hey, if someone else wants to, more power to 'em. Just my own personal little issue that I don't like to go to the hospital unless I absolutely have to.
My thoughts exactly! ::yes::

It's almost inevitable that I'll need it. When I reach my weight goal I'm sure I'll need to have some skin taken care of--there's just no way around it. I'll do everything I can, but I'm prepared to have the surgery.

YES!! I have a list LOL. I want a tummy tuck (maybe some lipo there), lipo on my butt (I don't care if DH says it is "in"), breast implants (not porn star, but just "perfect and bigger"), a nose job...DH says I am WAY too critical, but I think he's delusional.

At this time in my life, I say no. I would hope that I would put that money to helping others rather than cosmetic surgery.

Ten years from now - who knows. :)

I don't think so. I am far, far, far from perfect, but I have seen to many of those stories where the person wanted to have one thing done and six surgeries later they are still unhappy and thousands of dollars in the hole.

Not to mention I am way to :scared: .

No. I would never use my money to have it done. For me, I'm fine with my image as it is right now. Maybe down the road I might change my mind but for now no.

I would like to - but I am just too cheap to spend that kind of money on something that I know I don't really need.

I really would like to get lipo. I have inherited big fat legs...with no ankles! Now matter how much I work out, I cannot slim down my fat legs! I asked DH once a week, but he keeps telling me to wait a year...I'm tired of waiting. I would love to wear skirts and not be embarrased in shorts. :guilty:

I would consider getting a tummy tuck after I reach my goal weight IF I ever had the extra money hanging around. That being said, I am pretty certain there will never be extra money hanging around!!!

When I was 16 I had a rhinoplasty (fancy name for a nose job!). It wasn't that I had a big nose, it was just that my face was too small! ;) That was a looooong time ago. Two years ago, I had a breast reduction, which my insurance paid 100%. If I'd been thinkin', I would have had a tummy tuck at the same time (I've had two c-sections and it ain't pretty)! Maybe one day...

If I had the moolah I would definately get some lyposuction on some of my less desirable parts. I would probably also get lip injections, brow lift, breast reduction, booty lift. probably anything else they could talk me into. I do have really low self esteem though.

but i probably won't ever have enough money to do it.

I look at cosmetic surgery the same as coloring your hair, tanning, alternatives to glasses.
I voted no, and I would say no to all of these types of procedures as well (ok, hair coloring is okay as its temporary and basically risk-free). I can't imagine why anyone would intentionally undergo all the risks associated with surgery if it wasn't absolutely necessary. Perhaps my opinion is colored by me being a physician so I have a better undertanding than most about what could go wrong. I'm really surprised by the results of this poll so far. I suppose its a sign of the times and all the makeover shows on tv.
