Would you do this??

We were originally booked at POR for our trip Oct 5-11. We have stayed at POR before and we love it. I decided that we needed an upgrade and change our reservation to 2 nights POR and 4 nights at the Contemporary.I looked at the pictures of the Contemporary and I felt it looked too busy. The reason we love POR is that you feel disconnected, since, we already live very busy lives.So, I decided to call to see, if, by some miracle they still had any rooms left at the Poly with the airline discount. You can say I lucked out, since, I got a garden view room. Only one problem, they only had it available until the 9th. From the 9th until the 11th all they have left is the values, POR, CSR, CR or OKW. I chose the CR in order not to downgrade our hotel, but, I just don't feel like I made the right decision. We are spending the last 2 days at AK and MGM and I have to be honest..I want to stay at POR!!! I am definately not changing my Poly ressies for the first 4 nights. I am sooo happy we were able to get a room there!!!

The question is ..if you love staying at a particular resort ...Would you downgrade and stay there for the last 2 nights?? Would you feel you are downgrading your vacation??

Help me decide !!!

I would never feel that I "downgraded" my vacation if I was going to a resort that I love. I think you should go back to POR if that's what you really want.

We also love POR. I missed it so much that during our last stay at CBR, we left MK one afternoon to have lunch at POR and walk around. Oh, we also had reservations that year for CR that I ended up switching to a moderate because I just wasn't getting excited about CR.


Maybe you should get your POR fix for the 2 nights. Truthfully, I'd be happy spending the whole time there.
