Would you do MK on an EMH day or a Saturday?

Our trip is planned for September. We'll be there 10 nights. Two days we plan to do the MK.

I planned both MK days for Thursdays which are AM EMH days and I know should usually be avoided. But accordingly to the unofficial guide,, it says best day for MK is Saturday. Not sure about that.

So if your trip was in September , would you do the MK on a Thursday when there is AM EMH or Saturday?

I would do the MK on EMH morning, but I would leave the park by noon, when all the day-guests have arrived, and then come back in the evening.

But I also have little kids who will ride the Fantasyland rides, so we will have plenty to do in that hour.

Both will be busy. Sat night is nice after most of the "day" crowd has gone home. Always make sure you use the hour after wishes to get onto rides you really want to do. I found this to be the shortest wait times (the last hour in the park). I found some of the worst lines to be at EMH durning the evening unless it was REALLY late at night (like 1-2am)

The only way I do an EMH anywhere is if I plan to park hop to another park later in the day. You will want to be "the heck out of dodge" by 12pm on an MK EMH day.

We tend to go at less crowded times of the year and have found this to be true even during slow times.

As far as Saturday at the MK ... I have heard this as well but am somewhat skeptical ... I try to stay out of all parks on Saturday. LOL

WDWO

We go to WDW in October. Last year for the first time we went to MK on a Saturday. OH MY GOSH!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! We ended up leaving. It was practically shoulder to shoulder.

However, let me explain, there may be a reason why it was that way. It was the Saturday after Hurricane Wilma went through. We were told by CMs that many people from southern Florida came up to Orlando with their kids because there was no electricity, etc. in either their homes or their schools. Everything was closed so they came to the Mouse. Others said it's always that way on Saturdays. Who knows what's true, but it made us know we will not try that park on a Saturday again.

If I were going on MK EMH days, I'd be there first thing in the morning, or last thing at night. Those were the only two times with acceptable crowd conditions. I'm wary of Saturdays because of local crowds.
