We are arriving at WDW on April 17th. I have less than 1 month to figure out what park to do on what day and then decide on restaurants for ADR's. We are staying at the Boardwalk...so my question is...would you do Epcot or MK the day of arrival? Our flight will be landing around 10 am and we plan on having a car pick us up and take us to the resort. I'm hoping to be heading to a park by 11am the latest. Any suggestion for parks during the rest of the week would be much appreciated too!!

It would depend on if your arrival date is either a Sat or Sun. We always avoid MK on the weekend. Also, if you have young children in your group, you may have to do MK first. My DD6 is now old enough where she enjoys EPCOT, but a few years ago she would have been disappointed had we not started with MK.

Have a great time!

Here's what the touring plans (Unofficial Guide) lists for your dates by crowd levels:

April 17 Best:MK or DHS Worst:AK
April 18 Best:AK Worst:MK, EP, DHS
April 19 Best:MK Worst:AK

It actually doesn't mention EP as a best park until April 22.

That said though, I might go to EP first only because its "less entertaining" than MK for MYSELF. Its really up to you though.
Hope that helps a little!

I think some of this depends on how many times you have been before and do you have any kids..

I think for first timers with smaller kids I preferred to stay away from MK at the beginning of the trip, once they get their eyes on MK, everything else seems a bit boring (at least for mine DS(5) DD(2))

I sure hope you can land, get your luggage, take the cab, get checked in and be on your way in an hour, however I would plan on getting to the parks by 1pm if your flight lands at 10am... I don't mean to be negative, I would just assume 1pm and anything earlier would be great.

Do the Online Check-In for the room that helped us out greatly one time, the other times just slightly better.

Hi Not trying to be negative but I agree with another poster that 1:00pm is more likely, especially if you are getting bags via baggage claim. The Orlando airport is good from my experience but it's usually 30 minutes from landing getting to baggage claim and getting the bags.
Unless you have small children, my suggestion is go to Epcot, have a nice lunch (with an adult beverage if you like) and if you have the hopper option go over to MK later in the day depending on the Parks hours
Have fun

I think the big factor in your decision should be whether or not you have children wih you. If you do, I would go to Epcot first. I think kids generally enjoy MK the most, so I wouldn't want to bring them to MK and have them be expecting the other parks to be like that.

If you do not have kids with you, It doesn't really matter, but The Unofficial Guide Crowd Calendar says it's best to go to MK or DHS on April 17th.

I would recommend checking out www.touringplans.com and the crowd calendar.
