Would you DDP if staying Concierge?

Lucky enough to get AKV studio CL for 6 nights during F&W:goodvibes . Never stayed CL nor have we done F&W before. Just DH and myself celebrating our 23rd anniversary and prefer sit down meals if not sampling around the world at Epcot. Saw the F&W menus from last year online and wanted to try it.

We even have the Tables in Wonderland card...should we just go ahead and forget DDP and use this instead, since it goes us 20% discount on our total bill for the sit down places?

Any input/advice is appreciated. Thank you.:flower3:

Last we were on the DDP plan at the Poly and received a free upgrade to club level at check in. Had we known in advance about the upgrade we probably wouldn't have added the DDP to our package. Way too much food so we hardly ever took advantage of the snacks in the concierge lounge because we were still full from our DDP meals and snacks. So my answer to your question would be no. We would just pay out of pocket for our full service meals.

I think it would be way too much food, but then everyone is different! Plus, we preferred using the DDE, now TIW, to the dining plan, since you only pay for what you want.:) The club lounge snacks at AKL look fabulous (some kind people have posted photos online) and I think it would be a shame to miss out on them.:)

Thanks OP I too was wondering the same exact thing;)

This will be our first time staying at the Poly and our first time staying Club Level. Traveling with me will be my DH, DD18, DD15, and DS5, so we are all so excited! I was thinking it would be too much food, so I didn't add it when I made our reservations. I figure if I change my mind I can always add it. Has anyone done the dining with the Club Level and didn't think it was too much? Is it easy to go back to the hotel for snacks and such from the parks and head back? I was wondering if it was too time consuming or a nice welcomed break?

Thanks in advance for your advice:)

For our Poly stay we were on the free DDP and then were upgraded to club level. It was definately too much food! The nice thing was since it was all "free" I did not stress if my dd did not eat much at lunch. I knew we could always have a snack back at the hotel. The nicest thing was being able to bring cold drinks from the lounge back to the room!

However if you do not plan to be at the hotel that much then the DDP could be good for you. I think the DxDDP would be way too much food. But on the DDP you could grab a quick breakfast and then head out, have your CS/TS for lunch and dinner.

Between TiW and concierge, I wouldn't bother with DDP. For us, the CS part of the standard DDP would be a waste because we'd rather just grab our breakfast & evening snacks from the concierge lounge (we really don't like the CS hassle) and the DxDDP would be *WAY* too much during F&W.

My DW and I have been lucky enough to stay on CL twice...once at GF and once at the Poly. We are going again in April to CL at WL. Staying on CL and doing the DxDP has never been an issue for us...it actually works quite well. First of all, having the IPO handle all the APRs is very useful. I like to coordinate special surprises in the room, and the IPO is very useful for that as well.

When we go on the DxDP, we usually do a sit-down lunch and a Signature dinner, which uses up our 3 credits for the day. Staying on CL lets us eat a reasonable breakfast. We also use the CL lounge to stock up on drinks throughout the day.

Have fun!

We always do CL and DDP. We never use our DP credits for breakfast and use the CL for a quick breakfast on the run to the parks. We usually don't return to the lounge until evening when we go in for a cocktail and a snack. For us, it's about a place to unwind more than anything.
