would you bring your high end stroller?

Out of curioursity because I had never thought of this before... I just assumed everyone brought th ere stroller... do you use your stroller $700 worth just around town? I don't feel like I use it enough around town to justify it. I mean my Mcclaren would do at the mall or on walks.

One of my favorite places for my stroller is on long trips whether it's Disney, zoos, Hawaii... I always felt that was one of the perks of a high end stroller.... you had a nice one to use. What's the point of having one if you don't use it?

Oh I use it. We purchased our stroller because we live in a city and sidewalks here are not like sidewalks out in suburbia. In the almost 9 months that we've had the stroller I've gotten tons of use out of it. I don't have an issue traveling with it for places that rentals aren't available, but if they are, I don’t see a reason to risk it getting damaged or stolen when I can rent a nice one (baby jogger city mini) for about $100 for week. That’s just how I feel; it certainly doesn’t make it right.

We travel with our Liberty stroller. Talk about expensive:scared1: I have a travel bag that has me take off the wheels and put them in the bag with sections for them. It is usually the only one in the park and we have yet to loose our SN stroller.

We have the Stokke Xplory (http://www.stokke.com/stroller/stokke-xplory-concept/grow.aspx) and it came with us to WDW. It was fantastic. I couldn't imagine bringing another stroller. It was fine on the plane (we were thinking about getting the PramPack but I don't think we need it). Half the reason we got the Stokke was the for ease of use and how high the baby sits. She can see everything we can see - no 2'-3' cement barricades blocking her view at the zoo and whatnot. Gotta say it was nice to be able to find it no problem in a sea of strollers due to the height.

When we'd park it at Disney we used an airline cable lock to lock the wheels together and collapsed it in a way that would still be easy for CMs to move if needed but would deter thieves unless they were very familiar with this exact stroller.

We had no problems at all and I feel it made out trip much easier - however we didn't use WDW buses - we had a rental car.
We already own our stroller so buying another or renting would also be an unnecessary expense imho.

Do what you're comfortable with but don't let worry factor in to your decision making.

We bought our Peg P3 with the intent to use it primarily at WDW so we couldn't imagine leaving it at home.

Thanks to all of PP's for reminding me that in the grand scheme of things, my Mac Techno is probably not gonna attract much attention parked next to much higher end strollers, like those listed above. :thumbsup2 I can tell DW to stop worrying about it being stolen. :goodvibes

We've brought our Bugaboo for the last four years and felt completely comfortable leaving it around the parks. It is a $800 stroller and is bright pink and my DD loves it! Bring whatever stroller your child will be comfortable in and what you are used to using. With a lot of walking and moving around I love having my stroller!

We brought our Uppababy Vista to the World when we were there in November. I knew DD would sleep in it and I wasn't taking any chances. Also it is the only stroller that adjusts tall enough for DH (6'7") so he can push it.

Anyway, we used the buggy buddy lock thing a grand total of 2 times. We felt safe enough leaving the stroller. We did put our name on the stroller in a bunch of places, some visible, some hidden, before we went. We figured if it was taken it we had a chance of getting it back.

I wouldn't take my high end but because of how weighty it is. I gate checked my stroller and it wasn't damaged at all. JetBlue has been good to us every-time. I agree with you mom you should grab a cheaper one just because you admitted that its heavy. There is nothing worse than pushing and lugging a heavy stroller through airports let alone the parks.
