Would you book with DU or Disney direct?

Okay, so can someone clue me in. I really loathe calling CR, do you book through DU for just Disney resorts, or must this include airtravel? How much do they charge to get you AP rates and call for PS? I would love to know more.
Disney Resorts, airfare, Magical Express, tickets. You can have them do the airfare or you can do your own.

DU, like most of the Disney specialist travel agencies (I recommend Dream Come True Vacations), charge no fees for their services.

I really appreciate this post! I just filled out the request for DU. Now I will let someone else deal with CR!

Im using them this time, last time I did all the arranging.

I made my deposit on my split stay this am and just filled out a questionaire asking me about the people in my party, our likes, etc. Adding in things we're interested in doing, the heights and likes of my children. It was very thorough. I'm looking forward to having someone else do the work.

I am only booking my room through them since we're driving and I'll be getting my tickets from SOG.

I went with DU for our next trip. I must say I am very much a Type A in-charge person but they have been great.

Here are the reasons I went this route:

1) They deal with CRO which can be an adventure in itself at times
2) Reading about how difficult it can be to get through to CRO when discounts become available really steered me DU's direction-they do it for you
3) I tell them the PS's I want and they get them for me
4) I've been getting great emails from my agent (in fact I just got done reading the latest) about the latest Disney news-new attraction reviews, any new discounts (for example, AP holders can now get a discount on La Nouba tickets), recommended excursions, etc. It is really very helpful.

I have been in touch with Sally at Mouse Ears and I have priced it all out seperately and she had Disney beat by quite a bit PLUS she is booking airfair for me it is really expensive from Des Moines Iowa, never lower than 300 usually and she can do the dining package AND call for my PS!!! Isn't that awesome?? One price for everything and someone who KNOWS something about travel....makes it comforting to me, I called Disney and got very abrupt answers and not much help for newbies!! Nice people though!! So anyway Sally said that she would keep me abreast of any discounts that could be applied to my package like a Military Discount for time of travel...she also mentioned some group discounts that might come available by then, we are going Dec 2 thru 8!! So for room, tickets, dining AND air my cost is about 3200 with pool/water view and thanks to the Unofficial Guide I can request what building we want to be at. I am concerned about the size of room though with 5 of us, our kids are younger but we usually get one bedroom suites when traveling so I am nervous about that, can't afford 1 br suite at Disney but I am looking into Beach Club for A LOT MORE money!!! Anyway I really like the attention to detail and hassle free way travel agents take care of it all but I do crunch my own numbers to make sure I am not taken for a ride!! LOL :earsgirl:

We used DU for our last two trips and are using them again in 2006-they have great service, and they do all the work!!

I submitted a quote request this am..how long do they take to get back to you?
