...Disney never changed? If they just said that every ride, attraction, and show that is there now is going to stay and no additions would be added, how would you feel? Do you think it would get dull and boring? Do you think that what is there now is good enough to entertain you until your last trip? Do you think it needs to change in order to keep up/should it have to? Just curious about opinions!

I love Disney just the way it is, BUT after a few trips to the same old park(s), would probably get boring. I like the fact that Disney changes things, although I hate to see rides go. I look forward to seeing what Disney will come up with next. I also like meeting the new characters since my last visit. This year, it will be the Little Einsteins, Lightning McQueen and Mater. I think they should keep up with the times, its one of the many wonderful things about Disney!

As much as we love our special favorites, we respect that Walt's vision for his parks was that the parks would be constantly changing. I think it is worth bearing in mind that the current management is simply carrying out Walt's original vision -- it's not that the "new guys" lack respect for Walt and what he created. So, sigh, even if it means some favorites will become fond memories, I respect Walt's intent.

I don't mind change...but honestly keeping it the way it is wouldn't bother me either.

1) I like the rides to stay as they are.
2) But, I want new rides.
3) New rides should be ADDED not SUBSTITUTED.
4) Don't like closures, the new rides just take their place.
5) THey need to add capacity, not decrease it.

Unfortunately I don't make it to Disney all that often, once every few years, so I wouldn't mind it at all if Disney never changed. Just being there with all the "magic" is great to me and I look forward to it every time I go. It's not just the rides/attractions that make it for me, it's the entire atmosphere, the little things you've never noticed before, the CM's, the visitors, etc. And just to be a part of all that, I'd be completely good with it staying just as it is. :goodvibes

No changes? That would be no good.

Philharmagic, RnR, Tot, EE, BTMRR, MS, TT - all new since I started going - and all pretty good. Not to mention AK, MGM and all those great resorts.

Change is good. We love CoP, PotC, PP...but the new stuff keeps the Magic coming.

No change would be like depriving the World of the Walt's vision. If he was able to answer this question, what do you think he would say?

My only problem is when things are left idle for no reason but not to fix or staff it.

20,000 luts is a prime example of them not wanting to put money into a ride and then just paving over it to forget it.Then how many other areas are closed and not used.

I don't mind change and love the classics but to waste space just makes no sence at all when they are pulling in record crowds.

It wouldn't be the place it is without updating and changing.

I am starting to find Universal dated and boring because all the attractions are just so old! There are a few new ones, but I know the kids we are going with don't care about 80s films like ET or Back To The Future... they need updating.

So I can't help but think that Disney would lose some of it's magic if it stayed the same.

Yes, a agree with most of the points. I do think change is necessary but I just hate to see things go! I 100% agree with TheRustyScrupper on point 3; things need to be added, not substituted.

In response to a really bad egg, I'd say that Walt would want new additions and that magical word: progress. I also think that he would want to see things stay though. Progress includes yesteryear.
