So - If you had a choice, would you add on if a new DVC resort was built at either the Eagle Pines location or at the Contemporary Resort?

IF I were to add on, it would be Eagle Pines, I think. But it would be a low priority.

Nope, I probably wouldn't buy for 2 reasons. One I live far from the world and two I already own other timeshares. So, I really don't have room in my schedule for more vacations. Sad, huh!!

While I think that the Villas at the Contemporary will be built, I wouldn't add on there or at Eagle Pines for that matter. If I had some extra $$$$ hanging around, we would happily add on at the Boardwalk.

I think the CRV would be great for trading, but personally, I dont think we would buy there. They would have to redo the main areas and the pool for me to pay what I think they will be asking. MK is not our favorite park and we much prefer DTD or Epcot Area when in WDW so Im sticking with SSR and BCV and BWV.

I have no interest in adding on any more at WDW. I would probably add on if they decide to do Hawaii though! :jumping4:

We decided last week while at WDW that we'd add-on at the CR as soon as sales are opened. Probably 350 points.

If the Contemporary gets the face lift as promised then I would love to add on there. I have a feeling Eagle Pines would be too much like my home resort, SSR. Having something so close to MK would be great!

Maybe should have an option to purchase an add-on at both. Which I would. But I selected CR.

I wouldn't add on at either. But I would definately be interested in trying them out!

First, I think the $$ pp is getting out of hand. Second, I think the points totals will be too hi at a CRV location. Third, I think the dues at both locations will be the highest on property.

I'd love some Contemporary Villa points! Although, I'd also like a Boardwalk Villas add on! :)

Not interested in buying and would only stay at either to give them a try. Our only stay at the Contemporary (one of the side buildings) was a disaster, we had to walk through a huge game room to get to the monorail. Our youngest son would want to just stay in that room and watch people play games. It was a nightmare for us. Now I realize that we could have walked to the MK and probably by-pass that arcade, but it was our worst visit, it was 22 years ago, and it's truly a wonder we ever went back to WDW.

I voted for Eagle Pines, for the simple fact that my DH loves to play golf and that would be the closest we would ever come to living on a golf course. It was be an easy sell in our house for more points!!

No thanks, I wouldn't want to stay or buy at Contemporary, I don't like anything about that resort--WAY too much concrete for my tastes. I might stay once at Eagle Pines, just to say I have been there, but really, I'm not interested in either one. Now, if you had asked about OKW, my future plans call for another 50-100 points, and another resale week at Marriott before I retire. This may not be realistic, since I want to retire in another 4 years(of course, if I were offered a good buy-out...)

I don't think I'd be in the market for more points, but it really depends on how well either was executed as a resort. I loved the idea of SSR and when it was announced thought an add on would be great - but unfortunately can't stand the decor or some of the other decisions made (I like the "hotel" resorts - we bought DVC to replace a stay at a Deluxe, not for the condo feel).

For some of the same reasons I loved the idea of SSR (golf resort), I loved the idea of Eagle Pines - although the original concept art did less for me than SSR does (Spanish? yech). And I suspect it will be excuted similarly (no room service, exterior halls, etc).

So that brings us to the CR. Should have the hotel feel. On the monorail. Both those are pluses. I like the current bold decor of the CR rooms. But.......I suspect the point cost will be prohibitive.

And we really have enough points - or near enough. Juggling two resorts for the type of vacations we take --- probably not worth it. When DH and I have discussed the possibility of adding on I always try to steer him to VWL - his favorite resort. And he always says "we should just add on at BW - I like it there."

I don't think we'd do another big add on anywhere else. Eagle Pines doesn't do anything for me. I've never liked the CR...so even with a facelift, I'd probably have a hard time getting past that (unless the villas are really big...which we all know is a dream!).

We'll probably a few more points at SSR for the future (but we're spending all of our $$ finishing our basement right now!).

If DVC built a resort on the FL/AL Gulf coast (yes, actually ON the beach), I'd consider that in a heartbeat.

I have never cared for the CR, and we're golfers, so I voted for EP. However, if they built a DVC resort at the Grand Floridian or even the Poly, I'd probably sell one of my contracts to buy a contract at either one of those.

We are very happy with SSR and have enough points for our current needs. We did not care for CR and neither of us play golf. At this point I'm not tempted for either. Now a DVC in NYC or Williamsburg, that I might be tempted to buy into!

Would buy either one as we golf, but I would love the CR and would buy there no doubt!!!
