Set aside one night/month, as adults-only in the theme parks? Where you have to be 18 years old, or older to enter the parks. Maybe a weeknight, like Tues, Wed, or Thurs? Or they could rotate the parks....one month, one evening at MK, the next month, one evening at Epcot, etc. (don't think they could probably do that with AK though, since alot of things there are outside, you couldn't see them after dark).

Not for the entire day, just in the evening, maybe from 7pm-midnight. You wouldn't have to purchase a special/separate ticket, just use your regular park ticket or hopper pass.

I like kids as much as anyone, but I think it would be so cool to have just once in awhile to have the parks set-up for adults-only.

What's your opinion?

I wouldn't go to this party I think part of the magic of Disney is having kids around. We don't have any kids but every day we are there kids make us smile seeing them so happy and those magic moments is amazing.

I like seeing the kids too, especially all the little girls dressed in the princess outfits.....but to have just one night for adults, I'd like that.

I can't imagine why they would. When they first opened PI it was "18 and over only", and that didn't last too long before they felt the need to open up the area to all ages. I can't see a family-oriented company choosing to lock kids out of the parks, even for an evening.

And if they DID do it, it would most certainly be a hard-ticket event. No way that WDW would go through the parks at, say, 6pm one Tuesday night, telling everyone with kids that they had to leave, while all the adults got to stay. It would be a public relations nightmare! They'd do a hard close and then re-open only to adults with event tickets.

Even Universal -- which is much more of a grown-up park -- doesn't do anything that's "adults only". Except maybe Halloween Horror Nights, where kids are not banned, but it is strongly suggested that they not attend.

You can certainly get all the adults together and raise money to buy out the park, like groups do for Gay Days, special parties, corporate events, etc. But that's the only way it would happen, I'm thinking.

I wouldn't be interested, even without my kids. Being a kid again is fun and I wouldn't want to exclude anybody. Downtown Disney has adult only events. But, to each his/her own.

Sounds like they tried this approach and it failed horribly.

Pleasure Island was supposed to be the adult playground for Disney World goers. Obviously, adults liked it for a little while, then numbers started diminishing over time.

Let's face it, Disney could not make money on the Adventurer's Club alone. :P

They need the children in the parks to make the REAL money.

Hey, how about a Christian only day? Or a Democrat/Republican only day? Or etc., etc., etc....

Walt Disney envisioned the parks to be a place where he and his daughters could have fun together as a family. For all families to have fun together. What you are implying is against Walt's wishes, and in turn, very non-Disney.

Yeah, I wouldn't see them actually doing this.....it was just something that I wondered what others thought about the idea.

Do you really think we would fly across the ocean book an onside resort and then would be fine if we were told but sorry no kids ? I would raise hell and call all the devils to help me :lmao:
No sorry bad idea.
Besides how many parents would come to Disney without there kids just for a one night event?
It would only be for people living nearby

Oh heck, that would leave me out, because I live in Michigan.:rotfl:

How about a take your dog to the park day?

O no that's not going to happen. Not on the day I take my cat to the park:rotfl2:

And you and me surely did not enter the park when it was "snake ore reptiles day" or would you????:rotfl:

No, they'll never do it. I'd attend, though. Unless it's the "only for locals" that is being suggested.
