Would this be weird?

My DF and I really want to include the song "Circle of Life" in our wedding but have no idea how to do it without it sounding weird. What part of the wedding could we include it without the african drums and such sounding really strange and out of place?

Are you going to have them play it off a CD? Or are you just going to have the organist and violinist play the song? I think if you have the violinist and organist play it it would be nice during the unity candle lighting, or the processional. Or I guess it could work with the CD. I don't think it would be weird, you're having a Disney wedding, it fits in my opinion! And it's a beautiful song.

Will they charge extra to get the organist to learn how to play the song? Would anyone recognize what the song was listening to the organ? BTW Ashley I love the idea of playing it during the unity candle lighting or sand ceremony (we've been thinking of using that one for a while) Thanks!

What I was told that as long as they alread have the sheet music available there will be no charge for a song. So you should be covered there. I think guests will recognize it, and if not the two of you still will!

you could play "circle of life" while you exit/for your recessional along with your parents & grandparents following, i think that would be nice.

like ashley suggested try to find the sheet music. we've done this with a few songs we want played including light my fire by the doors. my local library has tons of books with sheet music including a disney one ill try to take a look for you next trip.

I "think" we're going to use it at our vow renewal when we light the unity candle with our children.

We used it at our original wedding reception for the bridal party dance.

My wp suggested it for our parents walk, he thought it was very appropriate (as it was) but I preferred Can You Feel the Love Tonight? And then we used Circle of Life for our bridal party dance. My dh walked to Here Come the Irish (a Notre Dame song) that starts out with some real powerful drums...it sounds SO cool on our video...like a heart beating, so I would 't worry about the drums, they are very powerful!
