We are only going half day on Monday (the 28th) so I was thinking about meeting up with a fellow DISer... I don't have anyone in mind but there are a bunch that will be there at the same.. anyways I was going to give them my tickets.. so they could use them for FP.. Is that bad?

I'm sure it breaks some sort of park rule... but I don't see the harm in it.

Last time I had extra FP that we didn't use and we were too tired to use them and on the way out we gave them to people. I don't think it's cheating anyone because I paid for out tickets.. I just will only be there part day

I'm confused?:confused3

Are you talking about giving them your park tickets or extra FP tickets?

If so...I would recommend, no on the park tickets. Just doesn't really seem like a very good idea. Unless of course that's your last day in the parks?? In that case, I say go for it!

Our last trip, I got a FP for every ticket (there's 3 in our family) but I routinely ended up not using mine. I am NOT a fan of Space Mtn.:scared1: So I usually ended up giving away my extra FP ticket rather then have it go to waste. This I would definately say DO! Good karma and all that...

We always give our extra fastpasses away as we leave the park at night. Giving to park tickets away is against the rules since they are non tranferable...would anyone know.. probably not.

I would never loan my PH to anyone!! But we always give away FPs that we collected earlier in the day that we just don't want to/can't use.

But wait ~ is Mon. your last day? If so, I'd consider it - you don't need them anymore - the receiver can't use them for park entrance *well that day I suppose *but if they're already in the park they have their own means of admission to the parks* - but no other days - they'd just use it for FPs ~ I think I'd be OK with that.

You should go into CA too that day so they could use them there too.

Once you go into one of the parks, the ticket is activated and can be used to obtain fast passes in either/both parks.

I personally do not see any problem with this at all. In fact, it cheats disney of nothing, because they have received their revenue. Each ticket is "entitled" to participate in the fast pass process, regardless of who is holding it. We always get fast passes for all tickets we have, regardless of who will be going on the attratction. If our party can't use them, we find some other lucky attendee to gift them too. I say if you are done with your ticket, share it and spread the magic:)

If you mean giving them your unused fast passes, that's one thing. If you mean giving them the Park Hoppers just to get extra Fast Passes, that seems fine (they would not be using them to actually get into the park then, right?)

If you mean giving them your partially used Park Hoppers to get into the parks, that's another thing. It clearly states on the back they are not transferrable. Also, if this is the last day of the PH and you use it to enter the parks, they would not be able to "re-enter" the park as they would not have the hand stamp showing they exited and were going back in.

I do that too, but was thinking of giving my actual tickets so they could get more FP's too. They would already need to have tickets.

That's what I was thinking. I don't want to cheat DL so if I met them in the park I would know they already had tickets right?

THanks :)

I wouldn't want it used for entrance, I think that would be dishonest. But just for FP purposes.

So, here's the thing about the nice thing you want to do. The tickets are non-transferable. Is YOUR intent for the people you give them to for them to use the for admission? No. But you have no idea what THEY will actually do with them. I suppose that is on them, not you, but I would probably advise against it.

That is a good point. Are the tickets linked to me in any way?

But if they meet in a park that means the receiver already has their own means of park entrance *PH or AP* there'd be no more days on it - they'll just use it for FPs.

I guess they *could* have someone waiting outside for us to leave and just go gice it to them? But really, it's half a day.. On a Monday...

You could give the tickets to someone outside the park, then they could go over to the harbor crosswalk(scalp it) or even call a friend and say come on down for a half day of fun. All of these things will stop with the biometric scanners.

I agree with the But really... not too many people would do that I would think. You'd explain to them ~ "This ticket has no more days on it ~ you can use it for FP collection that's it"

Jack

Yes they could but do you think most people would??

They will scan your fingerprint or thumbprint and that is tied to your ticket number, everytime you go thru the gates you will be scanned to see if the ticket matches.

Jack

Jack- I haven't been since May and at that time they weren't doing this. However, I know they do this at WDW (even though I've never been) and that this was in "the works" for DL too.

So does this mean they actually have it now??

If so, then the OP wouldn't have to worry about giving her park tickets away on her last day. Since no one else would be able to use them for anything other then FP's.
