we have an aug UY and usually go the end of Jan into very beginning of Feb--our home resort is the POLY
I havent made any plans yet because the virus has stopped the world--but thurs our 7 month window is open

now were thinking of booking at the BCV since as of today they still have openings--but I know that could change

so my plan is to book BCV with our points for as many nights as we can get since we only have a 100 point contract and we usually have to borrow a few so now we have 82 in our UY

after people start going to disney again and report back with their stays 2 things could happen--things didnt go good and people will cancel--or things will go great and theyll be a mad dash to reserve

so lets say things dont go good and we decided to cancel--as long as we cancel 30 days before arriving our points will go back in this year UY and then I can back them into next years points

do I have this right--
anything else I need to watch for--thanks all

if you are thinking of booking jan/feb 2021 with your 2020 August UY points...
Then yes, you can cancel by December (31+ days before check in), and since you are still within your 1st 8 months of your use year, you could bank the points.

If you borrow points, those will not be returned as I doubt that will still be the policy and we will go back to normal,

It is also 31 days or more to avoid holding, not 30.
