In June, we are heading back to the World, we usually get the dining plan. This time my sister's best friend's family will be there at the same time, they are not getting the dining plan. That being said, I expect there will be some meals when my sis's friend, she is 16, will be dining with us. If we are on the dining plan and she is not will she be allowed to order something small, i.e. appetizer or salad, and eat a little of my sis's meal. Neither can ever finish a whole adult entree. I know sharing isn't allowed on the plan but I thought that was so couples couldn't use one credit for lunch share it and use another for dinner. There will be 4 people on our plan and we will order four meals each time. Will our servers say anything to us? We won't make it too obvious, she will order something small. Obviously if we do any buffets she will have to pay for her meal.

I am having trouble understanding the question...If you are asking if they can use your credits ..no they can't. They can order what they want off the menu but they will have to pay for it.

It should not be a problem even if you are not discreet about it. When we were on the dining plan our 9 year old ate our 12 year olds "adult" meal every night and nothing was ever said. The waiters are so busy at these restaurants that they are not going to be watching you. Plus its Disney and they are not going to reprimand you for something so measly.

Ok, thanks I didn't think it would be a problem, but I just thought I would make sure.

Yes but you were all on the dining plan. The OP I believe wants to use their credits to get meals to share with someone NOT on the ddp which the waiters WILL tell them its not allowed

No, I think they are asking, if the NON DP person can share off of one of the plates of someone that IS on the Plan.

The answer to that is YES!

I can go in with my family to 50s Primes Time, and say my sister comes along for that meal and she isn't on the plan. I can most certainly give her part of my meal! Unless it is a buffet, you can share all you want.
