We will be staying at ASMu in March since I have used all my points for HHI in June. We are thinking of pool hopping a few times to BWV since it's my son's favorite pool and our favorite resort. Would it be ok or bad manners to use the DVC Laundry room while there to wash/dry our clothes? I don't mind paying for washing & drying but I usually do laundry while at the pool. Thanks

If you are not staying at a DVC resort, you do not have pool hopping privileges. To take advantage of the pool hopping perk, you must be using your membership - i.e., paying for your stay with points.

I honestly don't know how pool hopping works-we've never done it. Are you required to call ahead? When you get there, what do you show to prove you're staying on points? What have been the experiences of people who've pool hopped? Thanks.

Carol is absolutely correct. Pool hopping is a perk if you are staying on a DVC reservation that YOU made with MS. You don't get that perk if you are staying on a reservation made through Disney Reservation Center or Expedia or anyone else. And the laundry rooms are a perk of staying at that resort, not being a DVC member.

So, it looks like you will be doing your laundry at Music while you are enjoying the pool at Music. Or taking the dirty clothes home with you. Your magical band will not indicate that you are a DVC member.

When I was a teacher, students used to ask me questions all the time that were answered if they'd only read the paper that was usually IN THEIR HANDS!

I honestly did not know that! I thought just being a DVC member was enough . We've always pool hopped when staying at value resort..Oops

Pretty sure i know the answer but if we get a Grand Villa and bring grandma & granddad & aunt & uncle--can we all hope together or are they limited just to the home resort? I have to assume our kids can pool hop with us

You and the guests staying with you can pool hop together. But they need to be with you and not go alone.
