My boss is going to be staying at Wilderness Lodge the week after I am going to Disney. His birthday is Thanksgiving Day. Do you think the hotel would deliver something to his room for his birthday for me?? Like a cookie and balloons or something?? And maybe a character deliver it??? And how much would something like that run me?? I would call but he is here and I can't very well suprise him with it if he is sitting in the next room when I call. :rolleyes1

I don't know about the character part but I know when we were there for our wedding we got so many things delivered to our room! OMG! We had so much stuff! Trays of cheese and crackers, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, breakfast foods, cut fresh fruit....OMG it was amazing and all so good!

I don't know how people sent it to us though. I guess you'd have to call the WL and ask.

Let us know!

:flower:

They sent me to the florist too. They said we could arrange a character to deliver it too but that would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $500. :earseek: I like my boss but not quite that much. :teeth:

That was my first thought when I read your original post :rotfl2: Just to do this for your boss is great, but I agree the character thing is a bit OTT!

Disney characters cannot deliver items to resort rooms. Disney is very particular in regards to how their characters are used. You can, however, host a private event and hire a character to appear at it. The appearance is normally for 20 minutes and I believe the cost is $800 for that now.

Since you know that your boss will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge, consider contacting the resort's Room Service department. I bet they have a nice selection of treats that may be ordered and delivered to your boss' resort room.

One final idea since you mentioned "cookies." There was an advertisement with my Disney Visa bill recently. It was for a company called "Cookies By Design" -- click here. They have some wonderful Disney cookie bouquets. I don't know if you could arrange for the cookies to be sent to the Wilderness Lodge, but it might be worth a try.

Yes. Call the Disney florist. We did that once for my DSIL & DBIL& their kids when they were going down. We had a snack bag delivered. It was a big Disney tote bag filled with non-perishable snacks, perfect for a hotel room since they didn't have to worry about refrigerating any of it. They loved it. And they got to keep the bag.

It cost about $50 (this was a few years ago), but the tote bag was very nice, and my DSIL said there was a great variety of snacks included in the bag too.

Thanks for the great ideas. I have to talk to everyone else in the office and see what they say about it. Keep the ideas coming though.
