Would Parks be more crowded first or second week in Oct?

The first week has the Run Disney event that weekend and the second week has Columbus day that weekend.

Which would you choose?

I would choose the first week (actually we are going the first week and running the 10 miler that weekend).

Run Disney events don't necessarily make the parks more crowded but the race will effect transportation on Saturday night and Hollywood Studios will close early to the public that night.

With Columbus Day making for a long weekend and some schools having a fall break, the parks will be more crowded the second week.
