Would O'Hanas be a waste for 3 light eaters??

I am taking my 2 sisters (26, 22, and 16) to Disney World for Xmas - Dec. 18th - 22nd. We do not have the dining plan (and no free pin code either, dang it), but I still want to have a couple of nice meals for us that I will be paying for out of pocket. I really, really want to try O'Hanas, but would it be a waste of money for us three? It will cost over $100, and none of us eat large portions at all. I just don't want to pay that much money to just pick at the food. We're the type that whenever we all go out together, we all split meals. Should I take the money and use it elsewhere?

Thanks

Well it is a lot of food and I mean alot, for me I am a big eater and I ate my share, but just because the food was there I ate,you do not have to do the same;) but what I would do is maybe eat at KONA order 2 meals for you guys 1 appy and 1 dessert to share you will be out of about 80 or so dollars check out the menus good luck,

I am thinking maybe we'll do something like Kona's or just go to Downtown Disney for the night, eat somewhere where we can share some meals, and then go to Goofy's Candy Company.
Can someone tell me exactly where/what side Goofy's is in DTD? Which restaurant is it buy?? :flower3:

Well get off At DTD Market Place, and I will be honest with you I really enjoyed Wolfgang Puck Express the variety is great and the portions are a nice size it is just as good as some TS if not better, well whatever you girls do you will have a great time hey your in the world of Magic!!!

I would say not to waste the money if you are not big eaters...when DH and I went to Ohana we were famished so we ate everything in sight :rotfl: The food was very good but when DH and I are on vacation we enjoy a big meal

I would go with the DTD plans, WPE is amazing....awesome food, cheap price and large portions to share

Last time I went it was soooooo yummy I ate way to much. There is no way I could have rode on Dis Trans, so glad I had a car. I pulled into the Beach Club and almost  in the parking lot.

I would try something else if i were you.

Ohana is my all time favourite restaurant, so even though I am a small eater, it is worth it. Hubby eats a lot. For both of us and drinks, I think the meal came out to $75 including tip. I could eat an entire meal of just won tons, wings, salad and scalloped potatoes... and I do! It is delicious and if you are there during Wishes, it is amazing every time.

My Dh and I are not big eaters at all and would not have eaten at O'hanas unless we were on the dining plan...we were full by the time the skewers of meat came! We wouldn'y pay for buffets either for the same reason. You are better off sharing like you normally do.

We tried Ohana for the first time (it only took 19 trips to WDW for me to finally try it :rotfl: ) in August...

While I'll definitely say the food was amazing-it was way, way too much! It was pure gluttony IMO.... I felt "guilty" leaving so much food behind :( but I had to because they keep bringing it out expecting you to eat like you've been on a desserted island for a year :rotfl: :rotfl:

Next time we'll stick with Kona as the portions are reasonable.... :rotfl:

I think it would be a waste if you are very light eaters. I would opt for a TS where you can order what you want. Unless on the DDP.
