I would love to get suggestions for any "must do" restaurants for my family. I have two sons who will be 6 and 4 when we travel. I'd like to do a character meal or two, but we certainly don't need one everyday. DH and I enjoy a nice seafood or steak dinner when on vacation, as well. We are all about entertainment value/theme dining, whether it be at a show like Hoop De Do, or just in the decor. What are your suggestions?

We had a great time at Whispering Canyon Cafe the other night. They have awesome ketchup.

Some of our favorites are

Crystal Palace (breakfast) with Pooh and friends

Teppen Edo (Dinner)

Chefs de France (Lunch) with Remy

Raglan Road (Dinner)

Have a great trip!

I second Wispering Canyon, and would add Ohana's either for breakfast (with Lilo and Stitch) or for the other meals as they do parades with the kids, etc.

Tusker House (Donald,Daisy,Goofy) and/or CP(Pooh and friends) bfast

Or Cape May bfast-Goofy, Minnie, Donald in beach attire

T-Rex-not on DDP though

Sci-fi-kind of dark so if not scared of dark.

Via Napoli-good for pizza

Coral Reef-huge fish tank

Have fun!! :cool1:

I have three boys and our favorites were Chef Mickeys, Ohana's (dinner), Whispering canyon, and Coral Reef

I would second Tusker House! We also enjoyed Whispering Canyon & Ohana. I would also recommend Hoop Dee Do!:thumbsup2

Definitely Hoop de Doo! Our favorite dinner. The show is great, plus it's all you can eat and drink (sangria and wine:yay:) We did Germany last year when we had to cancel another dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We are trying Whispering Canyon this trip as well as Boma. I'm excited about checking out the animals as well as scoping out resorts where I may want to stay next time. Oh..and we like Crystal Palace for our dinner the first night. Enjoy!!

Our kids are 17, 15 & 7, so a little older than yours, but their favorites have remained pretty constant for a few years. Their must-do's are:
Chef Mickey's (they like breakfast there best, but dinner works too)
Liberty Tree Tavern (though they liked it much better when characters were there)
50's Prime Time
Biergarten

DH and my must-do is Ohana.

We have a little guy who is 6 - I asked him his favourite restaurants from our last trip and he said:
1. Biergarten at Germany (because of the band and songs!!)
2. Crystal Palace
3. Ohana (the characters seem to spend a little more time with each family)
4. Chef Mickey's
5. 1900 Park Fare
I hope that this helps!!:goodvibes

Tusker House and Crystal Palace breakfast before park opening
Ohana's dinner
Teppan Edo
Les Chef lunch
California Grill

1. Crystal Palace (Breakfast) - Always a must do in our family!
2. Ohana (Dinner)
3. Teppan Edo
4. Cape May Cafe (Breakfast)

I am going to Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast in about 2 weeks. Very excited for this meal!

Tusker House:thumbsup2
Cali Grill
LeCellier
These are my musts on every Trip

My boys are 11 and daughter is 13, the following are places they requested for this year.

Crystal Palace
Ohana
Sci-Fi
Coral Reef
Raglan Road

I agree with others about Teppan Edo and Whispering Canyon.

Crystal Palace
Le Cellier
Narcoossee's
Earl of Sandwich

Chef Mickeys is good for 1 time, you can get the fab 5 all at one shot, however, breakfast is better than lunch and dinner IMHO. I just don't think it is as good as Crystal Palace or 1900 Park Fare as far as the food and cleanliness.

Whispering Canyon is good for a 1 time, but it just isn't our cup of tea. I think the jokes can get old after awhile IMO.
