Would like a way to get to the Disney parks from DTD without taking I-4

Not sure if this is possible, but if it can be done would you please share how to do it. If it can't be done for all the parks, which ones can you do it for?

Could you explain how to do it.

I never take I-4 anywhere....avoid it at all costs. You can get to any park from Downtown Disney without getting on I-4. Since my daughter works at Studios, I know that I can get to both Epcot and Studios by just following Buena Vista Drive. There are signs everywhere on this road which will direct you everywhere in Disney. Typhoon Lagoon, the mini golf etc are all really close to Studios too. Try Google maps. We have a vacation home off 192 and even when I go to Universal and the malls I do not take I-4. What is suppose to take a few minutes can turn into many on that road. I also avoid 535 if at all possible, always accidents happening.

I know you expressed your desire to avoid I4, but I thought someone should mention that the entrance lane onto I4 going west towards Disney becomes the exit lane for Epcot Center Dr, from which you can get to the MK, Epcot or DS easily; you never have to change lanes and it's less than a mile. You can use Hotel Plaza Blvd and Buena Vista Drive, but there are a ton of traffic lights that aren't synced together; it always frustrates me going that way as you always seem to be driving from one red light to another.

If you're at DTD you're basically inside Disney World and there's absolutely no need or reason to get back on I-4,just take Buena Vista Dr.west from DTD and you can go literally anywhere on WDW property by just following the signs.There's even several ways to go between Disney and Universal,Sea World and the tourist areas of International Dr. by taking ground streets to avoid I-4.

Leaving Downtown Disney turn right onto the main drag (Buena Vista). Stay on Buena Vista for Hollywood Studios (which is left where Boardwalk Resort is). For Epcot, Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom follow the Epcot signs. You will (turn right onto Bonnett Creek heading north and) get onto a freeway (Epcot Ctr. Drive which would be the westward continuation of Rte 536) where you get into the left lane for MK or AK or stay in the right lane for Epcot.

For AK you are routed south onto World Drive, the main north-south freeway through Disney. Take the second interchange (Osceola Pkwy) west which goes directly to AK.

The route via I-4 goes around the horn. It uses Hotel Plaza Blvd or Epxot Ctr. Drive eastbound out to I-4 west which takes you southwest down to Irlo Bronson (192) west and then north up World Drive (Maingate)
