Would it be weird to bake a cake?

well i bought basic cake ingredients (i think!)

so far im struggling to cream the butter with the sugar, which is something I remember from school cookery!

So we shall see.....

Betty Crocker usually helps me with my cakes.

I'm not sure....cake flavour I guess! I just used milk, sugar, eggs, butter and flour.

It's just come out the oven and it looks surprising cake-like. I'm quite impressed with my effort! See what a bit of pixie dust can do?!?

I'll let you know how it tastes!

And does no one else eat cake mixture raw? its one of my favourite foods!

I never eat raw cake mix, just couldn't eat raw egg like that.

We don't get many cake mixes here, probably just chocolate or plain cake. I don't remember seeing any others. I don't think I have ever used a cake mix .

Well that is definitely a "basic cake".. Didn't even put a smidge of vanilla or some other flavoring in there?

IT IS GOOD!!!! Honestly! I'm not even just pleased with my efforts, its actually good!
And there isn't a single other person in the house so no one will ever know (and chances are no one would believe me if I told them)

I didn't frost it, I was creative and let butter melt over the top of it while it was hot and also put butter into the hole I'd poked to see if it was good.

The butter thing was a gooooood idea!

I think you should have started with a cake mix.

I think this is the 1st time I've ever agreed with Dawn.

I was actually thinking maybe they don't have Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines in the UK.
