Do whatever rocks your boat. The buns aren't bad but they aren't good either. Darn things keep breaking up. I stay clear of the burgers for the most part anyway.
Four pages later, and I'm still waiting to find who exactly was sitting on a curb eating corn out of a can??!?! So many questions--was it a giant can or one of those little niblets ones? Were they eating with their fingers or a utensil? Or maybe just tipping the can and pouring the corn into their mouth? Was it cooked? Raw?
There was a story on here a while back, about a family watching the parade and eating corn out of a can. It is often referred to on other threads. If you do a "canned corn" search, you might find it.
Disney switched to wheat hamburger and hot dog buns a while back. It's not brought up that often anymore b/c its been long enough that for the most part people have quit complaining about it. It is no longer a shock or a new thing.
See I didn't even notice . I was just getting at the fact that it's just your average hamburger bun.
Actually, OP this reminds me when I wen't through my tabasco period and used to keep a bottle in the glove compartment for restaurants that didn't have it. I love that stuff.
I don't think bringing your own food to restaurants at the parks is weird. I like to bring my own booze. MK is woefully lacking in the hootch department and the prices in the other parks is crazy high!
I still take the cheese off my pizza and I'm all grown up. But I'm also lactose intolerant and over the years have come to despise cheese (I didn't really make the connection between eating cheese and getting an upset tummy when I was younger and just started hating cheese).
I don't think it's weird to bring your own bun. You aren't breaking a rule, you aren't hurting anyone else, and as far as I can tell your bun is not blocking somebody's parade view so I think you should be OK.

I've seen this referenced in multiple threads and would love to see the original thread, but searching canned corn with and without apostrophes didn't work for me unless it's in a thread with an unrelated title.
I would love to read it if anyone has a direct link.

I just spent quite a while trying to find it, using different key words and trying posts instead of threads and I came up with nothing related to the family watching the parade, just recipes, etc.
Like you, I'm familiar with the basics from other threads, but I have never seen the original. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a Disney Urban Legend!
If you really are curious, you could start another thread asking for info, I'm sure someone can help. We've committed a major drift here.

Somehow I get the feeling it's been deleted from this site, since no search seems to get any relevant results whatsoever. (I wonder if the people saw the thread and threatened with legal action or something if it wasn't taken down... The reasons for its disappearance could be a whole new realm of discussion.)
Now back to your regularly scheduled conversation.
I would be envious and wondering why I didn't think of that if I saw you doing that. The buns are some kind of whole grain bun and are very dry and we didn't like them. They were edible but no flavor and weren't soft at all.
I say go for it if it enhances your burger experience!! I ask for catsup at Yachtsman and LeCellier But what-the-heck, if I pay $40 for a steak, I want to enjoy it how I like it. I'll confess, I almost brought my bottle of Country Bobs steak sauce from home with me...... but it was over 3 oz and didn't meet TSA carry-on requirements.
