So my family of 4 is only going 4 days on their first trip to WDW. Should I buy a 4 day php for all of us? Should I get the 4 day myw instead or will the new myw package with dining be a better option?

I've estimated my total costs as being $2,224
$446 for POR using the bdp code

It depends. Do you want to park hop? What do you want to do? How many adults and what age are the kids?

2 adults and 2 kids ages 5 and 3. We've never been to WDW so I'm not sure if we'd want to park hop or be content to only seeing one park per day.

If you're going for four days total, I'd suggest two park days. Why? Because part of your first and last day will be spent traveling. If you don't arrive until 3:00 in the afternoon, it doesn't make sense to pay $50+ for a ticket for that day.

I would probably go for the package if you can get it. If you are staying at POR for 4 nights, you will only have to pay $360 for the meals with the dining package, and those can be spread out during your entire trip. The question is will your POR rate be as good with the package. That's anybody's guess.

With your first trip, I would get the park hopping option, but don't get the plusses. You won't even be able to see everything in all 4 parks. We skip AK when we are going for just 4 days. There's no need for water parks since you have great pools at POR, and your kids are too young for DQ and PI.

A lot depends on whether you think you will be going back or not, too. Also, what time do you arrive on your first day...what time do you leave on your last day?
