you got someone you knew in America to purchase Disney hotel and tickets rather than buying here and then just buy the flight over?

Not sure I follow you. People from the UK can book on the USA Disney website and recently its always been cheaper on the UK site.

Just wondered whether the prices given to Americans would be cheaper with the exchange rate then what the English are quoted!

Trying my best to get the cheapest deal, found my wedding ring which is £900 more than my anticipated ring budget! Any corners I can cut, then I'm cutting them!

It depends if it is cheaper, on what time of year you are going and what discounts the sites have. It can be cheaper to book with Disney USA sometimes if booking a deluxe room only as they have 40% discount sometimes. On the mods or values I am not sure is the discount is worth more than free dining if they have it on.
Discounts come out a few months before too and there is no idea of knowing what they are or if they is going to be any worth while so that can be a negative too if you want to book early. Without the discounts Disney usa is more expensive.

The advantage with Disney US however is that you can add a discount to an existing reservation if it comes available more than 45 days out from your stay, provided there is availability. You also have more flexibility with US bookings in terms of changing dates and making amendments without costs being incurred, again, as long as you do so more than 45 days prior to check in. There are so many variables and your best bet is to keep doing quotes on both sites.

I am looking at a split stay next year. I was considering POP with free dining, which would be cheaper via the US site, ending off with time at the Poly with a room discount (I just worked on the corresponding dates for this year as the discounts for next year aren't out yet) and again, much cheaper. However I love POFQ so much I am thinking of going back instead of doing POP and it is slightly cheaper to book on the UK website BUT UK gives QSDP and US gives the regular DDP. Now I don't want the regular DDP so if I am set on QSDP it will be better to just book through Disney UK.

Re. tickets: Unless you are only doing a few Disney park days, it is almost always a much better deal to book through the UK.

Lee i may hv to give you some dates and let you get the best price for me as i dont know how to get free dining on the us site or the discounted rooms at the deluxes.Lookin at nov but doing dcl at the end also prefer a one bed or 2 rooms as much as i love my mom we need some space if u know wht i mean!!

We got our room at the contemporary for 42% off but the discount didn't come out until August I think - this is an AP discount booked through Disney US.

Next November won't be out till next summer based on past years for the US.

It can be an advantage, however I would recommend a person looked at previous years discounts to see what they are like. If there is no discount or a poor discount they may find themselves paying a lot more than it would cost on Disney UK and 3 months before they maybe little availability left on Disney UK. I have seen the value and mod resorts sold out a few months before.

That's a good point. I would never wait so late to book though. If you book and a discount comes out you can apply it to your existing reservation or even amend it if necessary. It is going to be a gamble, especially with flights involved so it is not for everyone.
