Me and my fiance have booked a trip to disney during the late summer free dining promo. This trip is costing me around $550 for a 5 night stay/6 days in the park (including travel, tickets, food, and room). My parents have booked a room during this new free dining promo, and if I come with them, I'll only have to pay around $350 (they are offering to pay a bit of my share & MNSSHP tickets, but this also includes travel, tickets, food, and room) for another 5 night stay/6 days in park.

I am staying at a value resort for both trips and getting QSDP for free. Getting an annual pass negates the free dining (which is a bit of a highlight), but for 12 days at disney, would it save me money? Also, 3 adults in a value resort...that might be a bit camped. Maybe I'll tell my parents no...but a week in disney for only $350....

I don't know but the prices you quoted seem really good for the amount of nights in the resort plus tickets and dining, I would probably keep it as is

That's what I'm thinking.
An annual pass is getting more difficult to break even on for only 2 trips, especially when Free Dining is involved. It really depends on if you're getting Park Hoppers.

AP = $611.31
2- 6day base tickets = $515.68 (save almost $100 over AP)
2- 6day with PH = $668.82 (save $50 with AP)

With the AP you may get a room discount and that would help make up for the loss of free dining.
