Would a school board member get a discount and swan and dolphin?

My dad is on the local school board. The discount says that it includes educational support staff. It also says government employees including local governments are eligible, and the school board is an elected position. Any ideas? He'd love to stay there when we go next year. Thanks you guys.

I'd also like to know if substitute teachers would qualify for the teacher rate.

I can give you as much info as I know. To get a educator's discount I would have to either show my Employee ID card which has the name of the college where I work or a paystub. I work in a support position for a college. I am not a teacher but am eligible.

To OP: If your dad does not have an applicable ID or pay stub I don't think he'd get the teacher's rate.
To Poster #2: I think a substitute teacher would be able to get the discount provided you had ID or the pay stub.

Teacher and Education Support Staff Discount
All teachers and educational facility administrative personnel (includes colleges and universities) can take advantage of the TEACHER discounts. If you are a teacher with a certified teaching certificate, or you are employed in a school as an educational facility administrator you can take advantage of the TEACHER discounts .This would include teachers, teachers aides, substitute teachers, and administrative staff. These job types will require
a Work ID or letter from supervisor on company letterhead stating employment or a recent Pay Stub.

Unless your dad draws a paycheck from the school board, he is not eligible. Genearlly speaking, school board members are not personnel--they are community volunteers.

What about consultants who work for a school district? My ID badge clearly states the school district name, the building I am based out of, and STAFF on it.
