Would a brand new Target have a clearance section?

Silly question probably...a Target FINALLY opened near me but I haven't had a chance to go yet. Is there any chance a store that just opened last week might have items on clearance? Thanks!

Ours had some clearance items the same week they opened, They ship items in for opening, and some are marked down in between getting them in and opening day.

We went in a Target on a mini vacation a couple of weeks ago that seemed to be brand new. There was actually a lot of clearance items that I saw as we walked around. We were in a hurry but there were several aisles. There was not a clearance section, but there would be clearance products or maybe a clearance shelf at the end of an aisle in each department. You will have to go to each department to see the clearance stuff there.

We have a brand new target that just opened that week, lots of unadvertised sales, but no clearance.

Our Target opened 2 weeks ago and had a small clearance section. Nothing that I wanted or needed but still it was there.

When our Target opened, about a year back, it had items that were clearance priced. I remember thinking how odd it was that a store had clearance items the first week it opened.

Actually, I have an "update." I went today to get pants for my ever-growing child and, when we walked past the bra/panty section, there on the endcap were about 30 metal peg hanger thingys with "clearance" marked on them. All 30 were empty, though. So it seems they may be getting ready to start clearancing a few things at least. LOL!

We had a brand new one open near us about a month and a half ago. I went there on Thursday and found some great mark downs. The next day I went to one that has been open for years and none of the items I purchased the day before marked down were. So it's possible but I would think more so in a few weeks.

You will find clearence items in a new store. when they open a store they will ahve the product there weeks before they open, because it can take a while to get it all shelved and priced. clearence is almost always company wide, so their items would go on sale too.

Target though is kind of a PITA when it comes to finding clearence. They will ahve specific end caps that are always clearence items, but those are rarely the best deals. The best deals they will usually keep right in the aisle where to product was originally stocked. So unless you are looking for that item, you may never see it.
