Would a 12.y.o boy like to have balloons delivered?

Or would he think it was just silly? I remember when I was in the hospital I loved looking at all the flowers and balloons, especially after I was home, but is it a girly thing? LOL, just didn't want to do anything 'uncool'

Honestly, I don't know. My oldest is 10 yrs. old (almost 11) and I think he would be embarrassed, but every kid is different. How about a cookie bouquet instead? They're really yummy!

OK, I just asked him and he said that he would be embarrassed.

I sent my son 12 balloons on his 12th birthday which was on Oct. 12th (a few years ago). He loved them! (I also made him 12 cakes!)

I just asked J.C. and he said he would love them at the hospital but he wouldn't at school cause he would be embarrassed.....lol....I like the Cookie idea to if its okay for him to have cookies.

Oh he just informed me that if his ""GIRLFRIEND"" sent him flowers to school then it would be COOL!

My sis sent our nephew a ballon bouquet (at his home) with the candy in the basket. He liked it. It is nice to have them know you are thinking about them on their birthday.

My 12 year old did not like the idea. I think the cookie bouquet is a great idea, or candy or a movie gift basket with candy, soda and tickets.

I wouldn't send balloons, I know my boys wouldn't have wanted that, they'd rather have a cd, food etc.

I just asked my DS who is 14. He said that in the hospital it would be ok. But not for a birthday or like that.

Some florists make specialty baskets now so there might be something else appropriate to send.

I aksed my 12 yr.old son and here's what he said.

1) at the hospital OK.

2) at school OK as long as there was no mushy card .He thought it would be cool to share the balloons with all his friends.

3) cookie basket OK anywhere

How about a video game or a dvd? Could be cheaper than balloons.
