worth calling back?

We leave a week from tomorrow and I only got around to calling for ADRs last night, so of course.... a lot of our first-choice dining options weren't available. Has anybody had luck calling back within a week before arriving to see if anything has opened up, or should we just wait and call when we get there? (In the past, we've had some luck calling the day we want to go somewhere, since people often cancel the night before...)

Any advice will be much appreciated--this is our first trip to WDW in almost 6 years!

Call back, it doesn't hurt.. then check at the conceirge if you are staying on property whenever you get a chance. People cancel up to the last minute.

Definitely! I'd even check day of in the park!

I'd call and check when you get there. We got in to CM on one day's notice when we were there last year (and it was free dining!). You just never know.

I have it on my speed dial on my cell phone. I would call a couple of times a day.

We just went and I didn't have Le Cellier and really wanted it.

While we were there, the night before we went to Epcot, I called and was finally able to get an ADR!!!

We only decided to go during June a couple of weeks ago, so when I called to make our ADRs most were fully booked, I call a couple of times every day and I have since been able to get Le Cellier and Coral Reef.
Still trying to get Tusker house for breakfast ( have it for one date, but trying to change to another).

As some of the ops have stated it doesnt hurt to keep trying, I know I will.

We are hoping to get into 1900 Park Fare when we get to the World...we haven't given up yet!!!

YES, as others have said...call, call, call. I got everything I wanted and planned ADRs less than a month ahead for busy mid April. Things change all the time, so keep trying. If you are persistent, you will get what you want.
