Worst WDW Food Experience

Okay....the worst place by far to us is Captain's Grill. Went for lunch ordered fish and chips. Looked pretty good on the plate. Well, it wasn't. it was horrible and I didn't eat it. OMG!!! I even gave it another try. Usually, if the lunch is bad, breakfast or dinner might be better. So we went back to try breakfast. It wasn't!!! It was horrible! too!! We will never ever, ever go back!!!!

I have to say Akershus in Norway Epcot. The service was just OK. I could not understand my server with her accent which was a bit embarassing. I was a bit annoyed at the price we paid to treat our 4 year old daughter. The princesses were not very friendly. We did love Snow White and Aurora, but the others especially Ariel looked like they could not be bothered that day. I saw Ariel standing in the middle of the restauant talking casually to a server, characters should never come out of "character" infront of kids. The food was horrible. We ate mostly the fruit from the buffet. They kept us standing in the heat outside waiting for 40 mins even with reservation. Would not go back.

1900 park fare has been my fave for the past 4 years now in a row. Nothing else has beaten it.

Narcoosee's, believe it or not. We had a 9 pm ADR and were seated around 9:10. Prompt service with our drinks and apps, then the entrees took...forever...to...get...out. The lobster was rubbery and lukewarm, as if they'd been sitting forever and they just forgot to bring them to us.

And the server never...came...back...to...check...on...us. It was 11:30 and they hadn't taken our dessert order yet. I sent DW and the kids to catch the monorail back to the TTC before it stopped running, and I sought out a server to order 4 to-go desserts.

Just painful. I'm sure our experience is the exception and not the rule, but it was easily our worst TS experience at WDW.

Akershus breakfast (their dinner was actually delicious). I am not a fan of the "breakfast bounty", but this one especially was cold and disgusting. I sucked it up and made multiple trips to the buffet. For 3 adults and 1 child, it was such a waste of credits.. FWIW - I was traveling with my cousin (she's pretty much a niece, I'm 18 years older than her) and this was her first WDW trip and time meeting the princesses, so it was a must do.

EDIT: Nevermind, I actually had a worse experience. Hollywood and Vine dinner buffet. My fiance and myself ate there and suffered from the worst stomach bout afterwards. I don't think it was full blown food poisoning but something wasn't sitting with either of us. My fiance has an iron stomach and is rarely ever sick, so for him to be effected I knew something was up. Then shortly after it was my turn. It took hours for us to be okay to eat/drink something. I will never step foot in there again

We've been lucky that we really haven't had bad dining experiences, except for this one:

We won't ever return to Boatwright's at POR ever again. We love the resort, and the food was okay, but our server was just so off-putting I can't force myself to go back. Normally I give a lot of leeway to people in the service industry, since my dad has worked in the industry for years and still works in the industry, and I suppose I do, as well. But there was no excuses for this server. She was rude and it was just an awkward dining experience that we wanted to be over.

I would say Mama Melrose was one I will never go back to. I ordered the calamari and it was like trying to eat an old tire and the strip steak I ordered had maybe 3 good bites the rest was just gristle, total waste of time and money.

Table service - Via Napoli - Asked for a pizza with no cheese, came out with a blob of mozzarella in the middle. Complained, after an inspection from the chef they told me it was "raw dough" - as if that's even better. All our pizzas were soggy, gross and overpriced even by Disney standards.

Lol seriously...I do not know why they even try with the stupid pointless excuse, just say I am sorry that is unacceptable and fix it for me! Right?!

I"m not in love with Chef Mickey's either. The last time we were there I felt rushed, the character interaction was meh and the food was ok.

Thant's really a shame. I also have a son who is autistic, and after the terrible service we had at Ohana, my DH swears we will never go there again. For me it's a real shame as it was my all time favorite character breakfast.

I'm worried about eating at Les Chefs de France this summer with all the bad votes it got!

We love les chefs de France last summer. Our kids asked to go back this summer.

T-Rex lunch: everything was either overcooked or under seasoned... or both.

1900 Park Fare dinner: you ought to be able to find something palatable on a buffet right? Yeah, not here.

Crystal Palace breakfast: maybe it's because our ressie wasn't until 930am, but everything had the same consistent temperature - room temp. Cold stuff was warm and hot stuff was cold.

That's 3 "one and dones" for us.

CRT - we went for lunch and more than half of us couldn't eat our meal - way too salty. Waiter wasn't nice and rushed us. We were out in less than an hour and $600 gone. All of our kids were hungry within an hour of leaving CRT. It was nice to see the castle but not for that money.

I wasn't a fan of Biergarten. Not keen on sitting at a table to eat with a bunch of stranger . We did this on our honeymoon to Disney world (not realizing that's how it would be) and not sure we will do it again, though my husband loves the German aspect. However, all in ask, not a lot to complain about most of the time with Disney!

DH and I are the same way! We enjoy the Biergarten atmosphere (and giant beers!) but the whole sitting at a table with strangers isn't our idea of a fun meal. Maybe we should coordinate ressies and we can ignore each other without guilt

I've had a couple of bad experiences, but nowhere I truly hated

Ohana-I love this place, it's actually a favorite of mine. Since I've been there multiple times, I realize that what we got was just an off night. All our other trips there have been fabulous. The noodles they brought us were cold. Not lukewarm, but stone cold. Then, two of our meats were actually inedible. The chicken was not done-pink inside. The beef was so rare, it was practically mooing. The folks next to us must have been complaining big time, because they had a manager come to the table and I think the guy gave him a fit. We just couldn't say anything, since the guy helping us was already dealing with the other table. Then, on top of that, we somehow(despite attempting to stretch the meal time out) finished before Wishes and ended up not getting to see it.

50's Prime Time-this wasn't really their fault, but it sucked. Several years ago, there was a storm during our visit to DHS and lightning must have hit some lines or something, causing the kitchen appliances to get blown out. I guess they were operating on generator power. We showed up to our reservation, and were told that the only things available on the menu were items that could be heated up by microwave or prepared cold. So, I ended up eating a turkey sandwich, and my son and daughter had what looked like Kraft mac n cheese and some chicken nuggets from a bag at the grocery store. On the upside, the CM was so sweet, apologizing and trying to help me satisfy my picky autistic son. On the upside, they hardly charged us anything. I think the whole meal was something like $18 or so.

I'm not an overly picky eater...just happy for the break of not cooking. Lol

Finally returning to WDW this August after 5 years. I am usually a positive person so I will post that My favorite dinner was Kona Cafe, we had Teriyaki steak that was really good and had a fantastic waiter.

We've been lucky and have had good or great meals at WDW and some of the best service experiences ever...with the exception of the food court at Coronado Springs. Our breakfast there was truly inedible. Stale, rock hard pastries. Strangely chewy waffles. "Fried" breakfast potatoes that were actually unseasoned steamed potato cubes--many of which were still raw. My wife has celiac disease and the servers rolled their eyes at her when she asked for gluten-free food and refused to use a clean serving spoon.

Food - Garden Grill .. yuck - overcooked, bland cafeteria type food. I have a couple of restaurants I'm taking a break from, but this is probably the only one on the "never again" list.

Service - no where has been terrible, but Coral Reef was definitely the longest wait at every stage ... waiting to be seated past ADR, waiting for chef to come about allergies, waiting to put in our order, waiting for food. Easily a 2.5 hour dinner (with a 2 year old and a 4 year old). I will say though, I ordered a Sangria and thought it was gross, the server noticed I didn't like it, and took it off the bill, so that was nice.

3. Boatwright's. Had the dish with crayfish bite and I think I had an allergic reaction because I was up sick all night. It came on fast and furious a few hours after dinner. I wasn't sick the rest of the trip and had p,entry of other seafood.

I had a similar experience at BOG with the seafood dish there on my 2014 trip. It was our first meal of the trip and I didn't even get out of the park before it hit me. After our meal, we had FP for Space Mountain. I barely made it off of the ride and into the bathroom in that area, and it wasn't from the ride. I ended up having to stop at every bathroom between there and the exit. Luckily it was the end of the night anyway so it wasn't completely worst case scenario. Woke up the next morning as if nothing had happened. It was so strange, and kind of scary as I was supposed to be running 19.3 miles that weekend.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. We waited for almost an hour to be seated, despite being early. Then, they put our group too far apart from each other. The food was average. Service was slow. And there was a couple near us that was letting their child run around and act like an escaped circus chimp (that's not the diner's fault, though).
