Worst Service in WDW? Your thoughts

Brown Derby, last October. Food was certainly okay, but the service was terrible. We've eaten at Artist Point, Cal Grill, Narcoossee's, Flying Fish, Spoodles, Yachtman's Steakhouse, Le Cellier, Chef de France, Portobello Yacht Club and probably a few other I've forgotten; most multiple times. The service at the Brown Derby was by far the worst we've experienced at WDW. Waitstaff was indifferent and totally non-responsive to simple requests. I asked for water when we sat down, repeated the request when our drinks were served, and finally received a glass about the time our check arrived. We had ordered an appetizer to share (noting this at the time). When it arrived, I asked if we could have an extra bread plate so I could split the appetizer (at some of the other restaurants, a shared appetizer was pre-split for us prior to service; in other cases, we were brought an extra plate at the time the appetizer was served). In any case, the extra plate never arrived. It appears that Brown Derby uses runners to actually deliver your food from the kitchen. Usually this is a good thing, since your food arrives while it's still hot. However, the servers who delivered our food never stopped long enough to see if anything else was needed and the server who took our order was nowhere to be seen between the time we placed our order and the time he returned to ask about dessert. I ended up asking one of the servers who was setting up an adjacent table if DW could have a steak knife, since none had been brought with her filet. If she'd waited until the knife arrived to actually start eating, her steak would have been cold. It appeared that the attitude was: you're not at my table so I can ignore your request, since you're not tipping me.

We will never go back. There are too many other WDW restaurants where the service has been above average to excellent for us to spend the kind of money we typically spend for dinner and receive such indifferent service.

Worst service ever - CRT for breakfast in April 2003.

The waiter was bordering on rude. When I let my DD try some of the stuffed frech toast he quite rudely informed me that it was an ADULT item and that kids have french toast sticks. I very calmly told him that we always let her try items from our plates if she is interested (she is a very diverse eater) and that if it was such a big deal I would pay the difference for an adult portion after I spoke with a manager. He left somewhat in a huff.

He also didn't seem to like that I was drinking Diet Coke for breakfast (my favorite caffine source!).

Needless to say he recevied a very small tip.

BTW - this April our waitress brought DD her own serving of the French Taost when she saw me sharing with her.
