I figured it would be nice if we had one of these... just a lil something interesting.

Im pretty sure everyone has had a bad ride due to it breaking down/people so cmon lets hear em :3. Ill post mine in a bit... its not very interesting.

The only time I've really had a bad experience on something other than BTTF, was the time I rode Jimmy Neutron...the ride stopped three times and was very rough when it was working. :headache:

I can confidently say I will never ride it again!
:sad2:

the worse ride experience i have had was at disney on the pirates of the carribbean ride.

it broke down near the middle and took over an hour before we could move.

i lost my adr that night due to that delay.

i haven't experienced any breakdown at universal except 3 years back on MIB.
it wasn't all that bad. we sat maybe 15 minutes before they had all the riders get out and walk out of the building.
that was interesting in a way.

phamton and i played marco polo to pass the time on it.....

Not long ago a CM ruined the Simpsons for us and everyone in our vehicle. Halfway through the ride she used some sort on speaker to say, Sir, put down the camera. About 20 seconds later she said it again. Then she said, In the back row, put down the camera!

My husband, son and I were in the back row along with a stranger. I leaned forward to look at the stranger and his hands were clasped in front of him.
She would not let up and when the ride ended, a young man rushed into the room and looked us all over. My husband complained about the young woman and the young man apologized.

If I'd been thinking, I would have asked for a second ride for all of us as the CM definitely destroyed the experience. We still don't know what her problem was but she was very annoying.

Well actually it's kind of funny, the last time I was in Universal it was May 2000, it was me, hubby and our almost six year old son and we had a break down on ET. We were stuck in ET's home plant for like 20 minutes, after awhile with all the colors and the music I sort of felt 'high'! :rotfl: It was really a weird feeling.

The only one was on my fav ride The Mummy. The ride stopped just before the-nah I wont tell any spoilers for thos that never rode..
But we sat there for 20 min in the dark.I started whistling the theme to Jeapordy.

I like yours better mac marco-polo!!:lmao:

At least once on every trip, there HAS to be those annoying little girls or women who find it necessary to shriek during every single dip, loop, turn, or drop of any given ride. I feel like yelling: "SHUT THE #@&* UP!!!!!!!!!" But then, that would just create unnecessary drama. So I just sit there, and take it. :headache:

:hippie:

Otherwise, everything else isn't too bad.

No real bad breakdowns in Universal or IOA. One time though on Spider-Man, during the climax sequence when you're falling down the building, THE THING WENT DARK. So imagine the vehicle keeps moving you back and forth like it's supposed to but in the dark! We could have been UPSIDE DOWN for all we knew. It was TERRIFYING. :lmao: AND A BLAST!

They let us ride again. :)

Not US or IOA, but this happened to me on Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom, except it wasn't girls, it was 2 teenage guys. And they were older teenage guys, maybe even college aged. They were in the doom buggy right beside me and they also kept leaning out of their buggy to beat on the back of mine. So immature - I just ignored them for the most part, but I shot them the evil eye through the reflection on the part where you see the "ghost" in your buggy. Boy, I've never seen anyone get off a ride so fast at the exit. I like to think I scared them with my evil eye, but they were probably just anxious to get to their next ride to ruin it for someone else.

that reminded me of my incident on the haunted mansion 2 years ago.

while on it by myself, the seatbench board slid forward and pushed me on the floor.
with all my yelling and waving to catch a cm's attention who i assumed was monitoring the cameras inside the ride, no one noticed.

when it came to the part where you exit the ride, the cm had to stop the ride completely and get 2 people to pull the seat off of me and get me out.

paramedics came but all i had were cuts and bruises.

i still go on that ride but if the bench seat has movement, i get out and go to the next doom buggie.

still love that ride even though i was injured on it.

I remember going to US the year it opened. BTTF, jaws, hannah barabera, and king kong were all broken and not working, ghostbusters was also not running. We went on earthquake and it broke while we were on it, and queuing up for Et as we got near the door to get in the ceiling collapsed because of a burst pipe hehe so they shut that as well.

As we left everyone was being given a ticket to come back again, so we kept it til the next year.

When we went back, jaws was still not working, earthquake and king kong were broken and so was ET hehe so we left.

When we got back home we wrote and complained and we got another load of free tickets.

I think it was about 4+ years until jaws was working

My worst ride "experience" at US was not actually on a ride but in a queue. The posted time for MIB was 20 minutes, but we waited for almost an hour, and the whole time 2 horny teenagers were groping each other in front of us.

I wasn't on the ride, but watching.

Bluto's Bilge Barge.

6 people on the raft, 4 in one group, and 1 other couple.
The four decided they didn't want to get wet, so they unbuckled their seatbelts, and started running around the raft to avoid water.
Over a speaker, they were told to sit down and buckle up, but they ignored it.
About 5 seconds later, the ride stopped, and the water drained and drained really really fast. (If you saw what was beneath the water, you would understand why it could be fatal to fall out of one of the rafts while the ride is going.)
Security was summoned, and the four were escorted from the park. All the other people were evacuated from the ride. The ride queue (which was about 20 minutes long) was emptied, so those people waited for up to 20 minutes for nothing. The ride restarted sometime later.

my first time to ride hulk, i didn't get in the seat for bigger folks(6'4", 280lbs). not wanting to be embarrassed-me or the attendant, he absolutely used his foot to help get the restraint buckled. i had sucked out all the air in my lungs, and the ride had already started when i found out i couldn't even expand my chest to take in air--so i spent the next 2.5hrs(the ride had to have been that long!!) lightly puffing in and out just enough air to keep from fainting. i remembered nothing of the ride, and didn't ride again for 5yrs. - this time in the right seat which was awesome. moral of the story, embarrassement is way down the totem pole compared to breathing!

My all time worst ride experience was on the Jurassic Park River Adventure. The boat had just passed the bend around the fully animatronic stegosaurus (or whatever it is called) when the ride broke down. After a while they realized they could not get it restarted, nor were we near enough to shore to get off. They ended up getting maintenance staff into hip waders and have them move the boats backwards one by one back to the "tunnel" before the stegosaurus.

There is a walkway on the right side that we used. Two staff members acted as human handrails so that we could get off the boat. We were gathered on a path behind the ride then eventually escorted to the road behind the ride to the main JP ride building. We were then led through staff corridors to finally re-enter the park near the JP splash zone area. We were each given one wild card express pass good for any one ride that day then sent on our way.

I have some great pics from that experience.:goodvibes

ouch mac, u were lucky to escape HM, there's room for one more;):lmao:seriously, rather scary:hug:

@ WDW:

*we had to climb down a ladder on that stoopid carny wild mouse ride in AK in the dino area (prime evil whirl?). Good news-we were closest to the ground, bad news-we were last off & were cooking in the hot sun...our reward, a FP for the same ride:eek:

*hate the practice of waiting in line (stand-by) 1st thing in the am & finally being told the ride isn't operating, come back later...no FPs as the ride never opened:headache:happened twice @ indy ride in DL too:sad2:

@ U:

dudley & popeye rides had shut down issues; fotl no worries mon;)

still, i'd rather have them shut the ride down if issues:thumbsup2
