We have eaten at all of the restaurants numerous times and on any given day you can get a bad meal at any of them. DH loves the food at Cali Grill. I don't. I am not a lover of sauces on my food. We used to love TOny's. The bread was the best part of the meal. In recent years, the food has gone downhill. It is overpriced, and they will not give you the bread at lunch - just some aweful "breadsticks". The salad was good, not anymore.
Worst meals consistently have been at Italy in EPCOT. I should have gotten the alfredo, and didn't. So I may give that one more try. Bread is excellent however. We loved our meal at Artist Point, but the last two times, it was HORRIBLE. There were bread cubes soaked in a vinegar based sauce under the salmon and it was rancid tasting.
I actually enjoy the lunch at Crystal Palace very much. Yes, parents do allow kids to poke around and shouldn't. But imagine what goes on behind the scenes in restaurants that we don't know about.
My favorites are Japan in EPCOT, although they have cut back on portions, Narcoose's, Beaches and Cream, Crystal Palace, and any food court for breakfast. The steakhouse at the Yacht Club is good, but the service can be very slow.
The only way we got to all of these restaurants was throught the meal plan.
