Worst Cookout Party Drinks

Well that explains why I have lost so much weight since I stopped drinking at home unless I have company!!! Margis were real high on my list along with malibu rum punch.

I love these articles: it's like they've mastered brain surgery or something...let me break this down:

1. Anything with cream = high calorie. Firstly, mixing alcohol and milk is just plain wrong; secondly it's bad for you. No, no, no.

2. Alcohol is sugar, therefore it has many calories to begin with,

3. If you add sugary drinks or fruit juice to alcohol, it's going to get calorific.

4. How come these articles never tell you what you SHOULD be drinking?!

I'll stick with gin & slimline tonic (70 calories); vodka and diet coke (60 calories); bacardi and diet coke (70 calories)...you get my drift ;)

I recently found Sugar Free Margarita mix that is wonderful.

If I did this I would have people over all the time:rotfl:

no need to waste good tequila(Don Julio 1942, Herradura) in a margarita, drink it straight, and save the calories from the sugary mixers.

LIght beer and some glasses tequila is the how I do it. :)

dont forget the lemon and salt!!;)

Yeah, ever since I found out how bad margaritas were for you I've stopped drinking them. I don't like very sweet drinks during the summer anyways. I'm more of a bloody mary girl now (made with Clamato juice!). But that happens about 2 times a summer.

I dont even like that, when you are paying $50+ for a bottle of tequila I want to taste it. I do provide "training wheels"(lime, and salt) for my guests though. :)

haha:lmao: well at least you know they wont fall over!!:drinking1Enjoy !

I was also going to suggest just drinking straight.

Infused chilled vodka can be very refreshing in the summer and there are no added calories. Same with straight tequila or a slightly flavored rum.

Of course, I don't drink cheap or domestic beer, so that's where I fall off the wagon.

A nice straight scotch is great in the winter.

But I need my Summer Mai Tais, too. I can't imagine a DIET anything with my booze! Yuck! :scared:

I like the spicy bloody marry at Rain Forest Cafe.

I'll have to try it! The only time we make it to any RFC is at Disney. I had a Bloody Caesar at Le Cellier and it was so good! But I think it was like $10 in the world's tiniest glass.

A Diser after my own heart, I love a good Tequila!:scared1:

I am hoping they are referring to a margarita using a mix. Hopefully a marg made with straight lemon and lime juice isn't that bad.

That must be one big margarita. I just checked the label on my bottle of mix and it's 100 calories per 4 oz. Tequila is 97 calories per 1.5 oz. I use 2 ounces of tequila and 6 oz of mix so that bumps it up to around 300 calories. Not great, but not horrible, either. Cheers! :drinking1
