Worst change in the last 10 years...What do you miss most

I miss the Journey into Imagination ride -- the original one.

When that closed and I rode the refurbished ride -- well, it was the first time I realized that something at Disney could get worse rather than better.

It makes me really skittish now, every time they announce a change.

Agreed.

Tiki Room (love it at DL)
Journey into Imagination
Skyway
Mr Toad (love it at DL)

Oh, and the Wishes Dessert Party ruined one of the best fireworks viewing spots at MK. Staking out a spot and being prepared to defend it to the death was a time honored MK tradition in my family. Siiiiiiiigh, no more.

I miss -

French Toast Loaf at Main St Bakery, Year of a Million Dreams, old TTA Narration, Who Wants to be a Millionaire,

and

SPECTROMAGIC!!! They better bring it back!!!!!!

Oh, and I agree that Free Dining has ruined the whole dining process/experience!

I don't have enough older experience with Disney to know what most of these things are, so I'll say that I for sure miss the Year of a Million Dreams... that was the year we actually went TWICE to Disney (once to DL, once to WDW) and it ROCKED. We loved the possibility of magic!

Now I'm totally wondering what the E-ticket ride things were, though. :)

They NEED to change back Journey into Imagination with Figment. The new version is TERRIBLE! I miss the Dreamfinder!!!!

Oh and The Adventurers Club. It closed the year before I finally turned 21. Eternally bummed about that one. I've heard such amazing things about it. I hope they open it back up!

The Adventurers Club. The old Food n Fun plan.

YES!! Remember those vouchers you used to be able to buy and use!! I totally forgot about those! We used them on our trip in 2004 and then they stopped accepting them! :(

Cranium Command, and to a lesser degree, The Making of Me.
SuperStar Television!!!!!!!!!!!
E-Ticket Nights, absolutely. EMH just isn't the same thing. Not even close.
Disney Institute - the classes, not the resort.
Carousel of Progress - no, it's not closed or even closing; I'm just preparing myself for the inevitable :teeth:

The old Backlot Tour-- it was so cool seeing all the old movie props and watching movie magic actually happen.

Alien Encounter-- I never got to ride it because I was too scared, and then when I finally worked up the guts to do it, Stitch had taken over. I've got basically the same opinion as you guys on that one, lol.

El Rio del Tiempo-- I can understand wanting to make Epcot a little more accessible to younger kids, but this is not the way to do it.

Unique food/merchandise-- 'nuff said.

Fantasmic! being every night-- this is my favorite show in WDW, and the fact that they don't show it every night is really disappointing.

Villains in Vogue-- I am a villain FANATIC, and it was the only place I could find merchandise of my favorite characters. I actually broke my mouse in a rage when I heard this was closing, I was FURIOUS.

And my number one... THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. That's my favorite Disney movie, and my dad filmed a few scenes when I was younger. I was watching it back, and it was incredible! The puppetry, the stunts, the characters, the music... why get rid of that to put in some cars blowing up? That can be seen on the special features on basically any action movie DVD ever, but getting sucked into one of your favorite Disney movies is an experience that can't be duplicated.

At Epcot:
Horizons
Cranium Command

At the Studios:
Superstar Television
Monster Sound Show
Animation Building (including the old Walter Cronkite film) and the Backlot Tour when it was still a working studio.

At the Magic Kingdom:
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

I've only been twice so I can't claim to be an expert, but there are a couple things I can mention. I went in 1999 and 2008. I miss the Skyway definitely. I agree with the general sentiment about the reservations system too. When we went in 1999, we stayed offsite, it was our honeymoon and we had no idea of planning or strategy. We were able to make reservations for restaurants at whichever park we decided to visit (granted, you still had to make them early that day) and it allowed a much greater amount of freedom to let the day evolve. However, when we went in 2008 with a 6 year old I couldn't have imagined not having planned everything out. We would have never accomplished as much as we did without planning and the DIS was instrumental in preparing me for what to expect and how to plan. I guess the tradeoff is that you trade spontaneity for control.

Comedy Warehouse!!! The actors were SO talented and it was such a great place to spend the evening. We would laugh for hours. Such a shame that it closed!

The addition of resorts other than the original 3 monorail resorts. Free dining and the crowds that go with it. You can't knock down buildings but they can get rid of free dining. It's a start.

I miss these in no particular order:
20000 Leagues Under the Sea
Wonders of Life
World of Motion (Test Track is Great and one of our favs but I miss WOM)
ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter
Horizons
The Timekeeper
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

I wish my soon to be 8 year old son Grant was able to experience all of these "missing" attractions, except for Alien Encounter at his current age. He would have really enjoyed these, I think Cranium Command probably would have been one of his top favorites.

Ride: Davy Crocket Canoes - The corny jokes made us laugh all day!

Show: Tarzan Rocks! - Great music with great performances!

Display: Lights of Winter - Absolutely awesome! Breathtakingly beautiful!!!!

Event: Super Soap Weekend - A great opportunity for soap fans to see their favorites!

Merchandise: Stuff unique to WDW and each resort. Now everything is Disney Parks generic. Shopping is not as much fun as it was!

Lights, Motors, Action didn't replace this show. This theater is now used for special events.

I miss the original Dream Catcher and Figment ride. That was my favorite attraction at Epcot, aside from Horizons, which I miss as well.
