Worst Attraction and Next to Close

I have to stick up for Stitch. My daughter adores this ride so I would be sad if it went bye-bye.

Universe of Boringy could be revamped IMO but the next ride to close will probably be Carousel of Progress (even though that would upset me because we enjoy COP) but it is probably doomed.

We need someone who works for Disney to sneak us a peak at the ride number data

I get a kick out-of-how Disney counts everyone in line....I've never seen so many turnstiles in one place. Disney knows exactly how many people don't go to Stitch and Star-Tours/ Body-Wars .... but what Disney needs is a turnstile after the ride

One turnstile could be "Enjoyed the ride"
One turnstile could be "Wasted my time waiting in line for that :confused3

Again, I haven't gone on Stitch yet. But from the reviews I can see why it gets so many negative reviews. (1) There were plenty of people that hated AE because it scared the pants off of little kids. Those same critics probably still hate Stitch because it is in the dark and scares little kids after drawing them in with the Stitch theme. (2) To the extent that it is a toned down version of AE, you probably have the former AE lovers who hate it for ruining one of their favorite MK attractions.

Stated another way, by trying to strike a compromise between kid-theme and scarry effects, it has disappointed two groups - parents with little kids and former AE fans.

I'd love to see a Horizon's type ride added to the Wonders of Life pavillion to revamp and energize that area. Something child friendly, interactive etc.

AMEN! AMEN! :woohoo:
I couldn't agree with you more! Thrill rides are fine, but all too often it separates families (mine anyway) depending on motion sickness, age, etc.
I long for the days of Horizons, World of Motion, etc. ... I think more of a balance is needed. Walt conceived of Disneyland so that families could have fun together.
I know we still have Universe of Energy, SE, Living Seas, the Land ... but I want more :hyper: !
Just something to think about ... I think variety is the spice of life! (That's why I love all those buffets!!! )

I know why people don't like it. I just said that I had to stick up for it because WE like it.

Ummm . . . OK, I was kind of using your reply as a spring board for my 2 cents. Sorry.

I second Stitch's Great Escape....it needs to go......

Next in line is the "tourist like trap" at Animal Kingdom...."Chester and Hesters"....Walt would roll over.... :confused3 It just doesn't fit with Disney...it's more like what you would find at Kings Island or Cedar Point....

ITA about C+H's. I know that that's what the Imagnineers were 'going for', but I really feel that they could have done something amazing with DL-USA.
Maybe a more family-friendly version of Dinosaur!. In fact, they could have kept the original as CtD and then made a more gentle type ride, focusing on the herbivores and stuff. And I'm sure they could have come up with much more!

Oh well.

And am I the only one who actually likes Star Tours?
We love it! Wouldn't mind updating, as long as it says kid-friendly funny rather than emphasizing battle and adventure. I have a daughter that loves the series for those elements

i'm surprised no one is saying the attractions in the world showcase...such as the norway video...or china, canada, or france.

as for stitch, AE was much better, but i understand whey they took it away (too scary). i do think they could have done better with a different attraction for stitch.

i enjoy when he eats the chili dog though...that's my favorite part!

Here's what I think, I didn't hate Stitch, I even thought parts of it were cute, when it was Alien Encounter it terriefied me, so I'm actually glad it changed, but it's not one of my favorite must-see attractions.

Drew Carrey should be the next to go, it's older, and probably the worst attraction at Disney.

I never really liked the Timekeeper, so don't care that it's closed.

Body Wars is easily replaced by Star Tours, and I like Star Tours much better anyway.

I think there should be some kind of attraction or show for Sleeping Beauty, that would also include Malificent.

At least with the Norway movie you can skip it easily.

Sounds Dangerous. I love Drew Carey, but the ride/show/whatever-it's-classified-as is pointless.

Cinderellabration is, IMO, pointless too. It's cute since Cindy finally becomes a princess, but it was REALLY boring. I would've thought an evil villian would show up atleast..

Country Bear Jamboree is also boring, to me. It's really weird too. I'm a huge fan of country music, but seeing robotic bears singing it..that's just plain odd.

Innoventions!!!

There is nothing innovating about it...We could see something much more fun because that is prime location and a complete waste of SPACE...JMHO.

Another is the film in CANADA...I'm embarassed to see it's the same film I saw when I was 11 years old...22 years later it really needs updating. Canada is beautiful and we have a lot more to offer...

and third would be...

Those awful cars in MK...Loud, pollution filled and boring...Got to go... :scared:

Well, I guess your speculation has been answered by DIS.....Timekeeper!!! It's so boring, everyone forgot about it :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Stitch. Gotta be Stitch. And the boring River of Time That Keeps Going and Going and there is not enough Tequilla in the World to make it good ride in Mexico.

Star Tours - Not because I think it's the absolute worst ride/show, but because you expect so much more with it's fairly well-themed que leading into it and the cool props out front - and yet has the sophistication of one of those simulator rides you can find in a mall. Such a waste of a great franchise to make a ride out of.

Now that someone from Canada has said it, I don't feel guilty agreeing that the movie in Canada has got to go, it's so tired and OLD. Please replace it with a new one. And I definitely agree with Sounds Dangerous. I'm surprised it hasn't closed yet. DH and I saw it several years ago and we were the only two in the whole theater.
Chester and Hester's? I love it!

We absolutely LOVED AE! Haven't been on Stitch, and I don't really want to. I just never could quite understand why they closed AE. I mean, scary.... maybe... but looking at our park maps from when it was open, it had the same warning as ToT and RnR, so why parents wouldn't pay attention to that is beyond me. :confused3

I can handle something being somewhat outdated. It sometimes lends to the "classic" feel of the ride, but I really do wish Disney would come up with more thrillers that are geared towards bigger kids and adults.
