Okay, first....breath.....slowly put the Unofficial Guide down and step away from the suitcase....everything is gonna be okay.
LOL!
The planning should be fun, like an extension of your trip. But be careful not to over plan, WDW is a magical place, and Im not sure what planning entails for you, but if you have one of those military- Dumbo or die in a day plans, and then dinner plans at night, followed by fireworks and early character meals the next day- everything must be perfect type plans, you might want to loosen the gun belt a bit.
Stuff happens, busses dont come precisely when they are suppose to, when you are trying to get to a character breakfast, rides are closed your child had their heart set on. Thunder Mountain Rail Road was closed for my first trip and Dinosaur will be closed for our first trip to AK this time- it happens, somethings you know in advance, but sometimes you just cant plan for, like the kid on the bus crying because they are over-tired when you are trying to have a relaxing, romantic evening in DTD.
You know what I mean? Be prepared to go with the flow. Disney is fun, but if you are like me- I like things perfect. I dont want bad food, sore feet, constipation,- you laugh, it happens!
Our first trip my expensive digital camera (gift from DH) was stolen on the layover on the way there, our room had just had the rugs washed and were soaking wet, we almost missed out swim with killer whales at Sea World, the humidity and pouring rain didnt help- I was a cranky mess, my husband as the personality to rise above it all and smile- we should all be like him, he caught the magic everytime it floated down on him and created it when it wasn't.
Planning is an excellent thing- pack freezer bags to hold ice to sore feet, pack all the preperation things, have a schedule, but dont let it ruin your fun, be prepared to do something else when the plan isn't working. I love the DIS boards, they just make me smile, its great to sit here and think about WDW. Walking in the hot sun, with lots of people is reality when you get there.
Have I mentioned you should have fun? Dont be anxious, enjoy the planning, enjoy every moment of it, it will help make for a memorable trip. No whistle blowing, lining kids up- march!
Oh, and theres always going to be something you wished you packed, it cant be helped, so dont stress over that either.
I hope you have a really, really great time. Oh, and Ill be re-reading my own advice a whole lot over the next 20 days!!!

Heres sending you a little or a whole lot of Pixie Dust!!!!
You're a DISer- its gonna be great!!
