i am in the beginning stages of planning my escape wedding. i am worried that i may not have any guests. i know destination weddings are expensive so i dont expect everyone to make it. but i feel a little weird preparing myself for a wedding that may only include myself , df, and our daughter.

i really want my disney wedding, but i am sure i will hear songs and dances about paying all the money for a 3 person wedding!

has anyone or will anyone have a very small wedding party? what are your thouhgts.

I'm at my max for an Escape wedding, so I can't help... but I do know that a few brides from the UK have had just their parents there, or in some cases just the bride and groom and they were beautiful and happy! HTH

I wouldn't worry about it. There is going to be 9 of us at my wedding including myself and DF. We only expected a few to come and its what we wanted so as long as the most important people are there yourself and DF your have a fantastic wedding and the pictures will be amazing.

Trust me...the very most intimate weddings are just as magical and wonderful as something much bigger!

My DH and I were married at Sea Breeze Point almost three years ago. For many reasons none of our family could make it...so it was just the two of us!

I did call my mom on my cell phone so she could hear everything (my coordinator held the phone for our entire ceremony) and that was nice.

DH and I decided not to do a first dance (he doesn't dance) but our ceremony had all the elements we wanted and was just so romantic and personal.

Don't think of it as paying a lot of money for a "three person wedding" think of it as one very magical, fairy tale elopment!

oh don't feel weird !! my mother and i are going through the exact same thing. we think only like 10 people are going to be there. i've learned to do what you want to do and don't worry about anyone else. if you want to chat pm me !!! good luck and have fun planning your wedding; remember, it's YOUR wedding and not theirs.

Including DF and I, we'll only have 8 people at our wedding. I could not be happier about this, especially as the day draws nearer. To me, saying your wedding vows is very personal and intimate and I wouldn't feel comfortable saying them in front of tons of people. It would seem too much like public speaking! Besides, it only takes two people to get married, so it sounds like you are ahead of the game with DD coming too!

I was married this past January and the only people there included me, dh and our daughter. I tell you, I wouldn't have had it any other way. It was peaceful, not bickering, no family drama. When we got home, we had an at home reception that included everyone. I wouldn't change a thing!

Also, having so few people there gave us the option of getting married at Sunset Point, which I have to say is absolutely magical! The castle is in the background and it is just like a fairytale!

thanks guys! you have all made me feel so much better. ive had a few ppl say things about my decision and calling it "eloping" which iritates me. but i dont think we are going to change our minds. i am really excited about us having a very intimate wedding. after all we are marring each other, not everyone else ( i know the families are united after a wedding) but yall know what i mean.

I had a lot of people call our wedding an elopement also, I finally started calling it a 'well planned, well orchestrated elopement" when referring to it LOL
