I've booked a house for early Feb and now that I've paid the full amount I cannot get in contact with the owner. For months we've been emailing back and forth and he's always gotten back to me with in a day. After we paid our final amount I've heard nothing. It's been over 2 weeks. I've emailed 3 times, and called the number listed. I'm worried. Should I be?

has anyone used that before? He is also listed on Homeaway but we did not use that site to book.

Any advice?
 
Remember that these are individual people, usually managing at most one or two "second homes" and not full-time businesses. Particularly this time of year, it is not uncommon for the owners themselves to be on vacation, and not responding to email.

I know it's natural to worry in these situations, but the vast majority of the time these transactions go off without a hitch.
 
Although he is a private owner, two weeks without a response is excessive and very unprofessional. I think Princess33 has good cause to be nervous. You might want to try some internet searching to find out who the property management company is for this particular villa and contact them regarding your pending stay. Good luck!
 

thanks for the tips everyone, just to update: we got it all sorted out. The owner was having email issues and I was having pay.pall issues. It's all good! Getting so excited now.
