I LEAVE TOMMOROW! YAY!

But I am SOOOOOOOO overwhelmed with everything.

We are on free dining, and I have heard nothing but good things about it, but now that I have read more reviews about it relatiing to the crouds, I am getting worried. Since we are going from 8/22-8/29, will the crouds really be affected by it?

Now with weather. Every single trip we go to, it always says the weather is going to be mixed sunshine with thunderstorms for every single day, but the weather always turns out fine. It now says thunderstorms for everyday. I know its just the Florida weather, but should I be nervous?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am just getting antsy about this trip. Its tommorow though!

:cool1:

Just got back yesterday...

Crowds were decent sized, but managable. Longest wait we saw was Soarin' at 90 minutes around 3PM. (Noticed that as we whizzed by with our FPs. :) ) Space Mountain's longest wait was round 60 minutes, never saw Splash over 40 minutes, and most everything else was reasonable.

Weather was forecasted for t-storms everyday and hot. It was hot, but not real bad, but we never saw a t-storm. It did actually drizzle one afternoon, though, when we were at Epcot. But, other than that, just hot and sunny. Got pretty sticky when there was no breeze, but that's still within typical FLA summer weather.

If it rains it will cool things off, and it generally blows over real fast anyway! Relax! Even if it is crowded you can use FP and do fine as long as you have a plan! It will be miserable hot, but August always is......

We went late Aug last yr and it did rain almost every day it would pour out of the blue for a few min off and on but then it would clear up and dry very quickly. I leave on Thurs so I understand your worries I too am concerned about the crowds BUT i have gone peak hours in spring and WOW thats crowded and we were able to manage it by planning ahead. I think the crowd level will be a bit more than normal for this time of year but not as bad as peak times..Or so I really really hope..

I agree with Steve BUT...

I went last year in September. I just got back today from WDW.

LAST year was soooo much better as far as crowds but WORSE as far as weather. It was a lot more crowded than when we went last year. It was managable, yes. But as compared to being in a theatre with only about 4 rows full vs the whole theatre packed in every seat...thats how different it was. And we had free dining last year too.

The weather was good I thought. There was only one ot two REALLY hot days IMO and we went to TL one day and DTD the other day! Perfect planning I might say! hahahaha!!

The dining waits were better. Last year we waited longer for tables. Seems like they have cleared a lot of that up but we still waited about 20 mins past our time for a table for every place, except Kona. No wait.

For me...

if I can go next yr in Sept I will. If not...I\'ll go again in August. I will just use fastpass and allow more rest time for my vacation!! It was still perfect. I found a little more magic and attention last year vs this year but there were lots more people there this time!

have fun there is still no better place to be!

Hi, just got back a couple hours ago. I agree with disfan3. We went last year in September and I thought the weather was better this year but the crowds were so much more!! Maybe it is just the difference between Sept and Aug but I just kept longing for September crowds. The busses were packed, the waits were very long (even getting there before opening and using both the disboards advice and TGM). The morning were fine before about 11am but after that waits were long. All in all it was still a great trip.

wE ARE LEAVING SOON TOO, AND ARE BRINGING MISTY FANS TO HELP WITH THE HEAT.

Don't worry about it! Can't control it and thunderstorms rarely spoil the day. :goodvibes Have an amazing time!

i'm concerned about the crowds too...we leave on monday. but now, i'm super nervous about the possibility of a hurricane. we live in south florida so if it looks like it's going to hit anywhere between here and there, we likely can't go. i guess we just have to play the waiting game. looks like we won't know until the end of this week:(
