I am going to take a stab at a trip report. If nothing else, then to relive our magical time at Disney World. I spent so much time planning and replanning and reading, as you all can relate, that I simply don't know what to do with myself now that it is all over. So, that is when I decided I would share our fun with all of you.

Day 1 Friday Sept 28

Here it goes. Packing for myself and 2 daughters was a lot of work and I am soo glad that I shipped a box down ahead (side note-if any of you are questioning whether or not to ship. Do it, it worked out great and I was soo glad I didn't have to lug that stuff with us). Ok back to the trip.....I told my husband he was on his own packing, :-) he of course didn't mind and it took some pressure off of me. So Jaden, 3 almost 4, and Addyson 1yr did great on the plane, no screaming or crying, very happy. I had nightmares that they would not be good, so glad I was wrong.

We decided to eat at the airport before heading down to Magical Express buses, very happy we did. The wait was long. Not quite sure if we had just missed the bus or that it was just how it went, but by time our bus arrived to take us to Pop Century, I think patience was wearing very thin for all 4 of us. Phew, we are finally on our way. We arrive at Pop and check-in, they had things for the kids to do, chalk outside, bowling inside (once I figure out how to add pics I will) Our room was not ready and we hung out at the pool until after 3pm, stilll not ready, ugh.....oh well we are here in Disney right so we make the best of it. The wait was worth it, our room was in the 50's building and room 5160. First room on the bottom floor facing away from the pool. Perfect. Our luggage along with my box and a full size crib from abbf was delivered to our room within a halk hour of getting it. Steve put the crib together while the rest of us checked out the tv and we decided that we would head to Downtown Disney tonight. I really wanted to go to Magic Kingdom our first day, but by this time it was almost 5pm and it was a MNSSHP night. So, we would just half to wait until tomorrow.

Oh almost forgot, when I checked us in I asked for a copy of the ADR's that I made 6 months ago. Low and behold one of them was wrong. We had LTT that was supposed to be for 9/30 and it was made for 10/30. Obviously an error and the conceirge at the Pop tried to help resolve but in the end I had to work with Krystin, the manager at LTT to make sure we could go there on our original planned day. So, lesson learned double/triple check your ADR's, we were fortunate that Krystin was able to help us since they were booked. 9/30 was a MNSSHP and that was the main reason I booked it, that and I LOVE the food.

Ok. I am going to go try to figure how to post some pics. More to come.............

Our trip 9/28/07 through 10/5/07 at POP

Good start. :goodvibes We went to WDW in July of this year, and I still haven't done a trip report out of fear. Can't wait to hear more.

We have a 6 yr old and a 3 yr old that flew for the first time on our July trip, and I was nervous that one of them or both would flip out. I didn't want to be THAT family on the plane, but they both did remarkably well.

That was my exact fear... of being THAT family. Glad I was not alone in my fear driven thoughts. :-) Amazing how we can work ourselves up and it turns out just fine. :cool1:

My post count is too low to link to photobucket. How can I add pics?

Thanks-Nikki

So we wake up bright and early, ok we have a 1 year old so not exactly by choice, but hey we are all excited to start our day. So we get dressed and showered, or visa versa, and head to the cafeteria for some breakfast. Our plan this morning is to head over to Animal Kingdom since with the girls it will be a half day for us. The heat and humidity was out of control. Now from Michigan, we are used to humidity but it has been a reallllly long time since we have expereinced anything like this. Beads of sweat were forming on all of our faces. Good thing we are out early. We got there in time for "rope drop". Never done this before, it was pretty cool. We decide to head over to Expedition Everest so I can ride. Steve is not much of a rollercoster fan so he graciously volunteered to hang out with the girls. Being a single rider was easier then I thought it would be. People in line are very nice and I had no problem striking up conversations with anyone in line. Easy when you have Disney in common. Being a single rider also has some cool benefits. You never have to wait as long as everyone else cuz you always hear the call...."single rider" and away you go.

The ride was great, very cool. Need to ride ride. :woohoo:. Excited to find the fam waiting and Jaden loved watching but poor Addyson was shaking. She did not like to hear the screaming fans. Freaked her out just a tad, poor thing.

So we now head over to It's tough to be a bug and the girls loved it. I sat near the end in case an easy quick escape was needed. Although it was all for not cuz the girls did great. Addyson bear hugged me the entire time but made sure she could still see the show. Couldn't get her to wear the glasses and maybe that was our saving grace.

Time for some character interaction. We get Lilo and Stich's autographes and head over to see Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck. The photopass photographer for Donald was really into picture taking. You could tell he really loved his job. Which as the vacation goes on, you can really tell those who are there as a job and those who are there because they love their job.

Jaden was a natural with the characters being the veteran that she is. Addyson, well she needs a little warming up. Most pictures we have to hold her if she is to be anywhere near them. This will soon change as you will come to know.

We head back to the room shortly after lunch. The heat is just plain hot and Addyson is beginning to show the signs of a much needed nap.

The anticipation is starting to get to me, Magic Kingdom is our afternoon plans. How will the girls react to the castle, that is my favorite moment. Walking into Magic Kingdom and seeing the castle. That justs makes Disney Disney for me. :wizard:

ok, Going to go download some more pics to keep you current. :surfweb:

Stay tuned

Keep it comin'. Your pictures are great. Where in Michigan are you from? I am in West Michigan, so that caught my eye. Like I said, earlier, we were at WDW in July, and man was it HOT. I expected it, but I guess I didn't expect the amount of people...mostly tour groups. Never again. I will take my son out of school just to go during the less busy season.

Can't wait to hear more and see more pictures.:coffee:

Lowereast Michigan. What a small world. There was not a lot of poeple at all, well there was but not as nearly as I would imagine during summer months or school breaks. I would highly recommend going in beginning of October.

Thanks for sharing! I love seeing your pictures and hearing about your trip, as our girls are close to the same age! We leave next week, and seeing the beginning of your report has me even more excited!

Can't wait for another update! popcorn::

sounds great so far! we are leaving in less than a month :cool1: with our 2 little girls. they are 19 months and 3 1/2 years old. close in age to yours, so i can't wait to read more. tell me, if you don't mind, did you bring a stroller for your 4 year old and how did she do??

Don't mind you asking at all. In fact, we went back and forth with bringing a stroller for her. In fact, we went out the night before the trip to look at double strollers and sit n stands. We decided to just see how it went. The first couple of days she did fine, little complaining. But she ended up telling us she was done walking. So, we rented the strollers from the parks and actually they were not that bad. We rented the single stroller and she was not constantly in it. She used it when she got tired and needed a break, or if we needed to get somewhere quick (bathroom). If you decide to do this, rent for multiple days, they give you a price break. I think it was $2 off per day. Keep your receipt on you too, if you return it and want it again later, just show your receipt and off you off. No need to repay.

Have fun on your trip. Enjoy them, it was a lot of fun seeing them enjoy themselves so much.
