Is it ever worth upgrading to World Traveller Plus with BA ?

Not in my view - it's literally just a bigger seat. Same food, same cabin crew, same everything as economy, no dedicated check in, no nothing! We would prefer to save the cash and use to fly Club the next year which is definitely worth it!

There was a recent thread on just this point, and I don't think anyone felt it was worth it - BA take note!

From memory, haven't you flown First Choice premium cabin? Sorry if I have the wrong person, but if it is you, I would say BA PE comes nowhere close. FC premium was well worth it in my view.

I think BA's premium seating is worth it - well depending on what you're paying. I mostly want a bigger seat with more leg room and that's precisely what you get. Very similar to Virgin's PE in that respect (and I've used both many times as I said in the other thread).

What I have always had on BA is an on-time flight. Now ask me to choose between a 2-3 hour delay with Virgin against the opportunity to sit upstairs in the bubble and the on-time flight gets my vote.

You don't get as many whistles and bells with BA's World Traveller Plus but my priorities are a decent seat and on time flight. I wouldn't travel with either BA or Virgin in economy though so you may feel differently.

Yep that was me ! We loved FC PE but not the refuel in Manchester ! so this time it's Gatwick with a night at the Sofitel As Pootle said on time is really important as my daughter is a REALLY nervous flyer. We have flown Virgin to Boston and I thought the service in economy was really good but all the stories of delays not good so BA it is LOL
