My favorite part of Disney World is World Showcase at Epcot. Yet when I'm there with my kids we seem to move through it pretty fast because they are bored. Any tips on what they can do to keep entertained while we enjoy the countries?

We did the passports with our kids (8&3) last time we went. They enjoyed it.

World Showcase was my 8 year-old's favorite part of Disney last time we went. Our kids were 8, 6, 4, and 18 months at the time. The older three did the Kidcot stations, but we also went "hat hunting." They tried on regional hats from each country, and we took their pictures. The only country without a national hat was Italy, so they balanced soccer balls on their heads! I also told them if they learned how to say "hello" in each country, they would win a prize (ice cream at the end of the night--which they were getting anyway).

We might have lingered in the shops longer without kids, but everyone stayed happy--no meltdowns--during our "world tour."

How old are your kids?

First trip there my kids were 3 and 6, they were bored because DH and I were so dumb! We did so little planning and really had no idea what was there. :sad2: Well the next trip we discovered the dis boards and what a world of difference! We started the passports and at that time they had the masks... it gave our kids a focus in each country and got them interested. We didn't finish the passports until our third trip but that was ok. They really loved shopping in Japan, one year we did pick a pearl but other years they were just into pokemon cards and japanese candy. There were different play areas when they were little that we would stop and enjoy. Little things like the phone booth in UK and the miniature train in Germany are cool to kids. And meet and greet characters, my kids loved meeting Jasmine and Aladdin in Morocco.

We always tried to catch a few shows in different countries, buy a snack, eat a sit down meal etc.... Once we figured it out Epcot became their (and our) fav park! Now my kids are young adults in their 20's but still love WDW and Epcot!
