We are going to rent a car from the Dolphin Alamo location. After our lunch at Le Cellier how would we go about getting to the Dolphin?

Use the International Gateway to exit Epcot. There you can catch a friendship boat which will drop you off at the Swan/Dolphin dock.
Or, you can walk to the Dolphin, still exiting through the Intenational Gateway, if you prefer.Takes 15-20 mins or so.

Thanks! The boat sounds like a nice option to get there. Then I can pick up my car and return to Epcot!

Yep! Don't forget - if you're staying onsite, you get free parking. When you first check into your resort, be sure to get the parking pass offered to you, and bring it with you the day you rent the car. Place it on your dashboard before pulling into the Epcot parking lot.

Is the free parking only available to you if you rent from the Alamo at the Dolphin? I am staying there in a few months for a conference but when I called and said I'd be renting a car, the person told me I'd have to pay $12.95 a day or something to park. Since the Dolphin does not leverage DME I will need to rent at the airport.

She didn't mean free parking at the Dolphin. She was referring to free parking at the parks if she is staying onsite and advised the OP to get the parking pass at check-in.

Ah. Well, that makes more sense.

You'll probably easily beat the boat on foot from the IG to S/D, it makes 2 stops first.

I agree. Forget taking the Friendship boat from the International Gateway to the Dolphin. It's only a ten minute walk. Just keep straight after leaving Epcot. You will pass the Beach Club and Yacht Club both on the right side. The Dolphin will then be right in front of you over the bridge.

To the OP...the Friendship boats travel from the Epcot International Gateway to the Disney Studios from early morning until after park closings. Along the route they stop at the the Beach/Yacht Clubs, Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin.
