World Showcase dining...

Looking for a kid friendly World Showcase restaurant. We are already doing Akershus for a Princess meal, but would like to eat in another non character world showcase restaurant. My DD is 3 yrs old, and is not a picky eater (def not a chicken fingers/mac & cheese kid). Any suggestions? Thanks!

We are in a similar situation for our April trip -- eating at Akershus Princess lunch. We chose the Mexican table service for dinner (San Angel Inn, I think)-- not because of the food necessarily-- but because we love the atmosphere. I think it will be fun for the children )

I've eaten at every restaurant in WS and there isn't one that doesn't welcome kids.

I do like Mexico for lunch and Le Cellier or Chef's de France for dinner.

Our kids love the buffet in germany, there is usually an oompah(I think that's it!) band playing and there is no waiting because it is a buffet. They think it's the greatest!

We love LeCellier and so does DD. She's been eating there since she was 3 and we find it to be wonderful food and a good atmosphere. They have the basic kids stuff and also a kids steak that DD always gets. The bread is wonderful too and comes right away and will help keep DD happy while waiting on her meal. They have some really fun desserts too for the kids. We like to get the smores (marshmellows rolled in sprinkles) and also the chocolate mousse (it's shaped like a Moose). Have fun!

DD and I love Chefs de France. She isn't a picky eater either, but she ordered the tuna and did not like it at all...I can't remember why now...I think it had strange spices, but they brought her a new dish and didn't charge for the first one. They were great. They were very nice to her while we were there. We went last June as well and it was just as much fun.

mexican has a great atmosphere the kids would like

marrakesh too...my son loved it there cause the waitress was so nice to him and the belly dancer pulled him up to dance with her...he was 4 at the time

The only restaurant I wouldn't take single didgts to is Bistro De Paris. The rest are VERY child friendly.

We had THE WORST MEAL WE'VE EVER HAD (and worst service too!) at San Angel Inn.

The food and service at Alfredo's is "eh" at best.

Le CEllier or Chef's De France are two great choices. If your kids aren't picky, I'd do Chef's!

You can get Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Mexican on every street corner at home. Not so for good French in an informal atmosphere that welcomes kids!

I also suggest the Biergarten in Germany. Our kiddos (DS, then 9 and DD, then 2) were dying to get up and run around again when they were done, but DH and I weren't finished yet. The Oompah Band started up and invited anyone down who wanted to dance, and the kiddos went out and kicked up their heels (made for some cute photos, too)!! DD is a picky eater, and she found plenty to eat.

The only problem I've found with sit-down restaurants and my 3 children is the wait time. Sometimes it can be quite lengthy. I can remember my older ds falling asleep in Alfredo's before his food arrived. That being said...dh and I hate fast food, so we generally opt for sit-down meals. When we have the kids along, we try to eat at earlier times. All WDW restaurants seem to be more kid-friendly during these earlier seatings. Also, the kids are less tired and cranky.

My DD loves it. Plenty for her to at and if you get an outdoor table before illuminations it is amazing with Illuminations.

Just tried Le Cellier a few eeks ago and she loved it as well. They were so nice that when I mentioned that I forgot my camera and wanted to take a pic of DD and her choc. moose they used a digitalcamera there and then emailed the pics to me. So nice!!

If your DD is outgoing and likes to dance then Biergarten, without a doubt! It's one of my 4-year-old's favorite restaurants at Disney.

The buffet is basic high carb stuff, nothing remotely scary but also not just typical mac and cheese/chicken fingers (he is a pretty adventurous eater too).

We haven't been yet but I hear that Teppanyaki is also very enjoyable for young ones. The chef's antics are supposed to be amusing and distracting.

Thanks for your suggestions!! Biergarten and San Angel Inn seem like the top choices for atmosphere, and Chefs De France and Le Cellier for food. Such decisions! lol...maybe we will do two world showcase restaurants during the week...
