How do they work it now? In years past when I took my older two, the park schedule kind of said the time frame of when the characters would be out, so we would try and hit each country at the right time. But it seems two years ago this wasn't the case anymore, and I can't remember much. Last year we never even made it to world showcase except Mexico. So are they just there off and on during the day, and how late do they stay. We will probably hit Epcot on our first day for half a day, but don't want to get too wild. LOL! So I thought maybe trying to find the characters, but it will most likely be 5 before we even get there. Will they stil lbe out.
Also where is the best spot to find them in each country? And do they usually have a photopass photographer with the characters there?

They're listed on the times guide. On our trip last week most of them were out until at least 6 pm. We saw Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, & Tigger together at the UK (they are there the latest, until 8 pm), and Alice and Mary Poppins were right next to them. We saw Belle and Beast in France and Princess Aurora was nearby as well. We have also seen Aladdin and the Genie in Morocco, Snow White & Dopey in Germany, Mulan and Mushu in China, and Donald in Mexico.

It's still the same. All of the characters have a set schedule (and most should be listed in the Times Guide). It depends on the character how long they are out (some of the characters leave for a few minutes, then come right back out. Then others are out for about 35 minutes, then leave for 15-20 minutes).

Also, most of the characters are gone by 6-6:30pm. The characters out the latest are the UK characters (and I believe they are done at 8pm).

Thanks! Now where at in each country do you find them? I know in the UK they used to be outside, but I thought someone told me a few years ago they are now inside somewhere?

Pooh and friends are inside the one England shop. I believe it's a toy store.

Mexico- Donald (he usually is outside, but if it's too windy, or bad weather, he moves inside)
China- Mulan and/or Mushu (they usually are back by the shop/theater)
Germany- Snow White and/or Dopey (they are by the side of the shop)
Morocco- Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie (they are along the rail by the lagoon)
France- Belle and Beast, and Aurora (Belle and Beast are along the rail by the lagoon, and Aurora is in the courtyard by the maze)
UK- Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore; Mary Poppins, and Alice (Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger are in the shop. Mary Poppins and Alice are in front (across from the Fish and Chips window).

Thanks.
Do they usually have a photopass photographer with them. We did see Aurora in 2007 and she did.

Some have photopass photographers, some don't. Their locations can change - sometimes inside, sometimes out. We saw Alice and Pooh and friends inside the UK toy shop late one evening.

The best thing to do is ask a CM in that country when so-and-so is expected. They will know - and they'll tell you where they are going to be. If the character is there, and you are told that the line is closed - most likely the character is going in for a break. Just ask what time they will be back and where the line will begin - they'll tell you.

Last Saturday (Jan. 31), as we walked past "America" around 11:45 we were surprised to find Mr. Penguin, Max, Suzy, Perla, Gideon, Goofy, Mickey and Chip and Dale! :cool1:
I told the cast members how great it was, that it was like years ago when you just came across the characters. It was a great 'magical' surprise.
There were NO lines, just people mingling around with the characters. It was great! :thumbsup2
FYI: it's always a good idea to ask the CMs escorting the characters about greeting times/characters. For instance, in Morocco, Aladdin and Jasmine were out early, but we were looking for Genie. The CM told us that Genie would be out at 2:30 that day, so we knew when to go back.
Have fun and good luck character hunting! :goodvibes

This is a "special" group, and is not always out.

Who is Mr penguin?

Is Daisy anywhere ever at Epcot?

Mr. Penguin is from Mary Poppins.

Not technically. She usually is at the MK (Town Square, in the morning), DHS (Hat, in the morning), and at AK (Tusker House breakfast, and then in Camp Minnie-Mickey for about an hour).
