Generally speaking, does anyone know the level of accomodations in the World Passport Collection? We just joined at SSR and I haven't received any info yet but already planning our summer vacation. Since we just returned from WDW and usually travel regionally in the summer (Great Lakes Area) we were hoping to go to Door County this Summer. Lo and behold the place we were looking at staying is part of the WPC. Little Sweden at Fish Creek in Wisconsin's Door County. It's fairly upscale and has it's own golf course to make DH and kids happy and I'd love to WOW them on our first trip with DVC. They have 1,2,and 3 bedroom vacation homes and then just "rooms". Those point ranges in my booklet are anywhere from 124-200ish depending on season. Would this get me a vacation-home like accomodation like at WDW or just a basic room? (I'm under the impression Concierge Collection tends to be more hotel-like.) I'm just wondering if I can compare apples to apples. I know I should just wait until I get all my info and then talk to MS but I am a planner at heart and only have so much time to decide if I am going to bank 2006 points or use them. I'd just like to get a head start> :) Just curious about the general level of accomodation in World Passport collection as comparent to DVC property

From the previous mentioned website, you can go to that resorts website and see the individual listing and accomadations. Just like some of the DVC properties, they have superb and some that need a little fixing up.

DVC is in the upper tier of all timeshare resorts and as such, many will not measure up and this includes a certain percentage of the II exchanges available through DVC. Don't forget that there are many components that contribute to desirability to include the demand of the week and the quality of the resort. HH is a great example. One can rent a top week at a world class timeshare during about 1/4 of the year for less than the yearly maint fees would be. Remember that a resort that's great for me might not be for you. Thus you should do your homework to see as best you can how a particular option might work for YOU. I don't know the resort you mention but the info I have suggests it is listed with both II and RCI and it is 5* with II and Gold Crown with RCI. They appear to only have 2 BR units with no lockoff so any trade would cost accordingly from 207-270 points. And on top of that, check ins appear to only be on Thursday, a troubling check in day for many. It's a newer resort and the reviews are quite positive.
