Hi

I have a question about the passport collection. I am considering using my points for a vacation in Europe. I was planning on booking a 1 bedroom, however, I notice some of the resorts only have 2 or 3 bedrooms available.

How does this work? Am I forced to book and use the points for a 2 bedroom?

Yes, you will be charged the points for the unit you accept no matter what you need or want. If you call and accept a 2 BR even at a resort that has 1 BR units, you'll be charged the higher amount. OTOH, if you put in an ongoing request for a 1 BR and they give you a 2 BR, you'll be charged the lower points. You cannot however search for a unit smaller than the resort has. This is one of the reasons I don't like the DVC exchange options, another is that even at under 60 days you must pay the full amount of points. No other system that works with II DIRECTLY on points has that limitation that I am aware of.
