With staying onsite you know one of the benefits is getting access to Wizarding World of Harry Potter an hour early. With that said, a questions for you veterans.

What's the best way to mangage your time and utilize that early entry?

How are the line-ups? Different staging area for express pass versus "main gate" line?

What time to be at the express pass entry gate for the early entry?

There is no need for express in the first hour. Everyone there is in the same situation.

Be at the park gates half an hour before stated opening. They will generally start letting people in 15 minutes early.

Go first to Ollivander's for the show. This line builds up quickly. Then do Forbidden Journey. Those two attractions have the longest lines. You can do Flight of the Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge next but if you want to view the shops while they are quiet, I would do them before FotH and DC. The lines for FotH and DC never seem to get very long and you can always use your express pass for them later. There is no express pass for Ollivander's of FJ at any time.

I could not agree more. :thumbsup2

And to emphasize, Ollivander's before FJ. Do not be tempted to reverse it, you will almost certainly regret it.

Agreed, agreed, agreed!

Chances are after riding FJ once, you'll wanna go on it again. Here is where the single rider line becomes your friend. You only skip the Greenhouse queue and some of the talking portrait rooms.

Take the castle tour line once to be able to stop and take pictures without holding up the regular line. This line ends right before you reach the sorting hat and board the ride.

Enjoy your visit!

perfect plans!

So glad I read this post. I actually wrote it down.

I hate to have 'military plans' like this for a vacation...but for 1 day, during our time at the Harry Potter area....I'm more than willing to do it since I've heard it's a madhouse.

Seriously....you guys are the best.

Yes, yes, yes!

Can you use the hotel express pass for Spiderman?

you can but not during the early entry period.

only hotel guests are in the park at that time.

once the park officially opens, the express line can be used by the onsite hotel guests.
