World of Color Superthread

It's been a crazy morning, my DA and I are currently in line for WoC today. We been here since 5 in the morning and already there are a few hundred people already in line when we got here. Currently there is at least over 500 people in line around this time.

Any chance you can upload a photo of the line?

Well I watched last night and thought it looked amazing and while I agree with Dreams that the video prob doesn't even come CLOSE to the real thing at least it gives you a general idea. I KNEW that in real life it prob is WAY more spectacular and I can't WAIT to see it IRL! We will be there on the 21st! I am SOOO excited!!

Just curious, is anyone else avoiding the coverage of WOC so that it will be a surprise when they see it in person? Just wondering :)

Yep..I mean I know the generals and I saw the Steve Davison presentation at the Expo, but I won't watch any video of the actual show until I get to see it in person.

Yikes! What time do they actually start giving the tickets out?

I don't think WoC translates onto to the computer screen via video at ALL compared to in person. You just cannot grasp how tall the water is, how giant the imagery is, how "wow" it is in person when you see it on video.

I am one who believes you can sort of get an idea of Fantasmic! from watching a video. We can all picture the size of a pirate ship, based on perspective. However, when seeing WoC on video, wow, it's just not even possible to imagine what it's really like. It's just SOOO much more grandiose in person.

That's exactly why I had no problem watching it online first. Because I know it will be WAY more amazing in person anyway.

I really hope we can see it on October 1st.

They let the people in the park earlier than I expected. They all the guests in the park who were waiting for the WoC FP was around 720 am, then we waited right next to the Baker's Field Bakery, for about a min, than they led everyone to GRR. We went through the line at GRR and waited one after another guest until we got our FP. We got the 9 pm show and we are section is the Blue section.

Here are some pics from the wait line:

Ok I am still confused even after reading everything I could find:

We have dining reservations for WOC at WCT for 6:50 but what is the earliest we can line up for our viewing of WOC? We want to line up as soon as possible! And where we will go, will it be right there in the viewing area or somewhere else first?

THANKS! I am in my room at DL hotel resting up for tonight!

This is what I am anxious to hear. We have reservations Sunday for AG, and leave tomorrow AM, so anxious to hear some of this tonight or tomorrow AM.

The FP says to return btw 7:30 and 8:30, I know I won't be waiting until 8:30! Our dinner at AG is at 6pm, so I imagine we'll be done around 7ish and then will just go line up. That's taking up a lot of time to see one show -- glad we'll be at DLR for a few days. :)

Thanks for the play by play! Am waiting with baited breath to hear how the rest of it goes.

 i have a question on WOC

what if someone decided to go to DCA after all ,but not untill after work (5:30pm) an didn't have a FP ticket for WOC, could they still get to see it?:confused3

Yes. There are viewing areas outside the offical viewing area. Your other option would be order a picnic lunch and pick it up after work.

There is information about a possible 11:15 third show being performed. This would not require a fastpass.

really? wow that is late.. but hmm i will check it out! i just saw pics from the line this morning for FP, it loos scary busy!!! lol :scared: and i was totally going to do a picnic meal, but you have to order them ahead of time for like a day like today.. sucks and i was going to wait till the 19th becuase there is this thing called a credit card, you probably heard of it-well i have to pay what i put on it already, it's only like 300 dollars.
